Rovers have posted a new promotional video on twitter:
Following the success of last year's "step up campaign". Looks to be from the same media team.

Ffs why do the club keep wasting money on marketing when that money could be made available to GC? Bring back the good old days of marketing I say:

He went round the houses to get to the Mem. Jogging over the suspension bridge, still got a good 4 or 5 miles to go yet.
Also, great video, but bloody hell we still got the Theatre of sh**e lit up in the background.

Brilliant marketing, that along with the season ticket ad for last season which was great as well.
Well done Gas and the commercial department.

Can anyone explain to me how he ran through hotwells and then appeared running from the other side of the Suspension bridge?
Did he decide to swim across the Avon and climb the cliffs first?

Am i the only one who thinks that is um.... ah.... uh... a little bit sh1t? It seems to split opinions, but I actually think it’s really good, and I like to moan about everything!!!

Good video but thought they would have cut the bit with AG in the background.
The guy is literally looking over at AG as it says "There are two great days in a persons life"

Am i the only one who thinks that is um.... ah.... uh... a little bit sh1t? It's so lacking in imagination it's untrue. Let's look at the club's strengths and weaknesses: We're nicknamed the pirates, we have a pirate on the badge, therefore we can easily associate with 'counter-culture' symbolism- ie the Jolly Roger. We play in a sh** hole that the neighbours lovingly refer to as 'Chernobyl'. There is a great and very obvious USP there that the masterminds at the club are totally missing. We could be taking a leaf out of St Pauli's book and be marketing ourselves towards hipster yoof looking for an alternative to the sort of 'run of the mill' experience you can get at Ashton gate...instead we are knocking out these bland anodyne ads advertising ourselves as some sort of glorious family day out which is in direct competition to City rather than displaying and celebrating why we are different and unique.

Do we have any evidence that last year's promo resulted in a significant increase in ST sales?
