Exactly what I thought. Was not expecting it at all! Have only watched about 45 mins tho Surprisingly for me I watched all of that. It gets to a stage where actions really do speak louder than words. This kid has had so many setbacks, mostly of his own making, and even had issues in his last role at Southend. He is 28 now and the penny should have dropped a while ago. If I really believed he was ready to knuckle down and be a professional id say sign him up. But most know there is always going to be something else around the corner... Maybe worth offering a contract with clauses in it where he can be offloaded at the first sign of trouble? I know it would be a risk, but with the right guidance, support and focus I believe he could turn his life and career around in the right direction. He's only 28 and I don't believe anybody is a lost cause or whatever. In his spare time get him talking to life coaches, have some sort of counselling, talk to specialists and then get him on courses and also out doing stuff in the community to occupy his spare time, maybe some coaching or something. A risk, but one worth taking perhaps? Him and JCH could strike up a decent partnership on the pitch. Edit: I just thought, Coughlan will already know him from his time at Southend. "If Nile Ranger is to open an academy, there won’t be a better player to tell the next generation of talent about how to avoid the problems caused by being thrust into the limelight at such a young age. He can still be a force for good." versus.uk.com/2018/10/nile-ranger-wants-open-football-academy-proof-hes-turned-life-around/

He does talk about his future and how he would like to have his own soccer school, so getting him out coaching and working within the community could work and would be something that interests him. He realises he needs to rebuild his reputation in order to achieve what he wants for his future so maybe it could work. I could see a good partnership with JCH to I just don’t think many would take the risk of having him associated with their club

Maybe worth giving him a contract with clauses and offer him some professional help and guidance. I am a firm believer in people turning things around at some point, it’s just hard to know wether his next chance is the one where he can finally do that

I wouldn’t want a character like him anywhere near the training ground or dressing room. So much at Rovers is made of feel good factors amongst the squad & having a close knit tight group, bringing a player with Rangers rap sheet into the fold would be a huge error.
In any case, every single time I’ve seen him play (numerous occasions against Rovers & a couple of neutral matches) he hasn’t looked any good at all. I’d very much like to think we wouldn’t need to go anywhere near him.

Not difficult to be a 'Ard' when you have 20 of your mates around. Doesn't look like the other group even want any kind of fight until they're set upon judging by the video. Maybe it would have been better if one of them hadn't started it by rugby tackling one of Barton's group to the ground then? Two groups of p*ssed up blokes on a beach is never gonna end well. Doesn't show that on the video... hearsay to me that
