I’m trying to work out where some of our fans sit now on who they actually support...........I am actually reading some fans are going up to Walsall next season in their spare time?! I was brought up watching us at Twerton, it never crossed my mind to go and support QPR as my second team when Gerry left with 4 or 5 of our players. We get a man in who on form in his games finished us in the top 10 and saved us from certain relegation. We are told he plays terrible football, it was pretty terrible against Donny when we lost 4-0 at home. This forum has become obsessional about the previous manager and players released. I am embarrassed I had to even go to Dover that awful day when Puddy threw ball in our own net. This forum is the anti Bristol Rovers forum.......hammering the club over ball boys when loads of top clubs use academy kids to do the job. Hammering the club over car parking spaces, score board, it’s literally anything. It’s not perfect off the pitch, they should have done their due diligence on the UWE. Am I really bothered we have done our accounts yet? not really. I am more bothered we kept our Division 1 status and I get to go to Ipswich next season over Salford. We all want better, I’m sick of the crap blow dryers, queue for a beer, no pasties but at the end of the day I support Bristol Rovers as I did at Twerton and not Darrell Clarke FC. I hope he does well at Walsall, I hope their fans warm to Sincs running around their pitch but I hope Alfie Kilgour becomes the next “one of our own” much more. Some will be happy I honestly think if Cogs starts slow so they can have a go at him and the board and Walsall are in the top 3 of Div2. has anyone actually said they are going to travel to Walsall next season? More money than sense if they have, I can barely afford to watch the gas let alone another random team, football hardly represents value for money. Guess Walsall have a better stadium though. Strange how the only constant in a football club are the fans. Players, managers and owners come and go. The fans invest the most money collectively and invest the most emotionally but have the least control or influence of the club, pretty sh*t deal really. In today's climate of millionaire foreign owners, players who make tmore money a week than we earn a year, do we just have to view our team as entertainers we pay to watch, like watching a band or something? I'd like to think there's more to it than that, a connection, loyalty but I think these emotions are a conveniently exploited mechanism for extracting more of our hard earned cash even when we know we're being ripped off. The only way I think you can have a club that you genuinely feel belonging to, and passion for, would be a totally fan owned club where all fans have a share personally. Whatever the likes of media savvy WAQ say in interviews, he probably only heard of Bristol Rovers a couple if months before he bought the club.

This forum... Anti Rovers forum.... Blah blah blah. This forum is a platform for all views, always has been. There are just as many people on here who are positive about the club as there are moaners. By all means, pick posters up on unnecessary negative stories but also some sense of perspective is needed as clearly not all things are rosy at Rovers. But again, what's said on here is the views of individuals. This is not an anti Rovers forum. It's not far off, and due to the same old crap being posted by the same old people week in, week out, it'll die on it's arse before long. Then contribute something positive? Or debate the points of the unnecessary negative stories? Or do what I do and hang out in the Gentlemans Lounge all summer until the football starts again

I’m thinking about getting a Darroll Clark tattoo to cover up my Rovers one.

Controversial I know but I remember people morning on here about DC treating some players unfairly in breaking up the conference and L1 promotion teams It happens Good luck GC in your transfer dealings and next season. I’ve got a feeling we won’t have to put up with the continual crap start to the season and having to play catch up after the January transfer window
Hey ho

One thing's for sure I definitely won't be listening to any of Marcus Stewart's interviews. Could barely stay awake or make sense of them when he was chatting about the gas let alone when he'll be talking about Walsall. He’s a Gas legend for his goals but yeah ive never seen a coach or assistant look so nervous and uncomfortable doing interviews. Development players speak better. Great striker and probably a good coach but can’t see him ever being a manager. I wish him DC and Walsall all the best though. Except whenever they play us.

Clarke, Sinclair, and all those that have left are in our history, and their names will appear in a Rovers Book, and that's ok, but that is where it ends for me

DC did wonders for our football club. And people quite rightly will keep him in high regard. I will probably try and make a Walsall game at some point next season and wish him all the best at Walsall, hope he does well.

He did work wonders for this club but also left us in a situation where this summer we heading for a situation at the Fans Day where Stefan Payne, Mensah, Bennett and Nichols would be walking around having pictures with fans whilst starting in DIVISION 2 in two weeks time. The budget is a myth, we have a mid table budget, against Doncaster we were not mid table or playing like a side like this losing 4-0. There is over £600k on players named with those 4 above and some massive wages which would have really hurt us in Div2. A bloke comes in and saves a sinking ship, he’s not liked Gavin. The club is hammered for everything off the pitch but DC walks away scot free from where he left us in my first paragraph and where he nearly left us.
