Paint trade- get a paint company to tart the mem up a bit (needs it) and in return free advertising around the ground and on the new screen! Benefits all concerned! It’s a fair point you make, about DOING rather than saying but you have to get permission and the owners have not been great at allowing that. Many will say that it’s apathy but we have not had receptive chairmen and owners, to allow such things. It really is very difficult to try and get a meeting, going by previous attempts by others

What happened to tommy's meetings with Hamer? After the interview, they were supposed to be what, every 3 months or something? Are they happening? tommym9 ?

Sorry but you have lost me there. I have no idea about the parking. I am talking about people who have tried to act, to help the club. Your reply makes no sense in that respect.

I don’t think it’s all apathy, I just think some feel the ship has been steadied from the Conference and people like me are willing to give the board (not Hamer) the benefit of the doubt. The ones with the real problems with the board need to produce a document, a committee and form a proper debate and protest but these are the ones with apathy. Stop hiding behind a user name, go public, get a figure head and do something about your worries. All this ..........Gas, InMyPantsGas ........incider, ITKGAS, Knowall.........BE BRAVE, who are you and start a proper debate

I think we have had a few attempts to garner support and talk with the club but came to nothing, sadly. You had NH who would not engage with his 50 internet warriors. I know of a couple who have tried to engage with the owners with respect to investment and were basically told it was not welcome and I mean DS. Forum poster vaughan was one. I don’t think we can really DO anything unless we have a receptive audience and I don’t feel we have that. Personally, I feel more concern now than I ever did before. I can’t see DS willing to carry the losses. I hope I am proved wrong though.

Sounds pretty cheap to me

Hi all! Blame roady for this thread! As a fan base we aren’t half great at moaning, being sarcastic and bashing the club whilst sitting on our hands. Roady made a good point that we need to act and not just talk. I’m no millionaire or billionaire but I have the passion to try to make measurable improvements. Therefore I wanted to start a thread about genuine positive ideas for creating a better more sustainable and enjoyable BRFC. I’m willing to help in anyway possible. I would just like this to be the base for any money making ideas, improvements etc etc All ideas welcome! Wouldn’t it be nice for something positive to happen and us turn around and think “WE DID THAT!” LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE! I quite like the idea that Stevenage have setup a crowd funding attempt to raise £1.2m for a transfer budget/wages for next season www.tifosy.com/en/news_stories/english-football-s-first-mini-bond-raises-600-000-for-stevenage-fc-3233

It was proposed to the board that fans would raise the funds to build the training facility (I think), but DS rejected it stating they didn't want outside investment.

Now the Equity Offering is to enable the Club to increase its playing budget with the aim of achieving promotion. What are the Shares on offer? The Shares on offer are A Ordinary Shares which contain a right to Promotion Dividends. This means that the Club will pay you 25% of the issue price value for promotion to EFL League One, and 75% for promotion to the EFL Championship, and you will still own your Shares. The Shares also come with full voting rights, meaning you will have one vote per share acquired (as does the Club’s majority shareholder).

Good to see a positive thread on here, sad to say that the new 'professional, regime did not seem to embrace the concept of loyalty as shown by several long serving work for nothing volunteers who were shown the door ,however i have often thought about how we could raise funds to improve the club, sometimes it sounds simple EG if you reckon we have 8000 regular attendees plus what 30,000 sleepers or so and we all put in say an average of 5.00 (i know some couldn't,but some could and would do a lot more )we could raise some 200,000! now how much of a training ground would that buy?
