Relax. WAQ is gonna be known soon as a modern day Moses. It's already begun with staff turning into snakes. Something quite prophetic about that BJ

You could turn into a Armchair supporter if you don't like giving our owners money on a Matchday if you like ? well I pay the gate price because you have to watch the game, but why would someone who earns £1600 a month give extra of his/her money to subside say a player on £1600 a week? See my point? Raising money for the club? It's not a charity for god's sake, they get enough of my hard earned cash when I pay to see them. That's as ridiculous as me donating money to my boss so he can go on holiday or something. Generally don’t see much wrong with it imo, we all support the club would be nice to make a different even if it’s a small change that supporters can be proud of

Hi all! Blame roady for this thread! As a fan base we aren’t half great at moaning, being sarcastic and bashing the club whilst sitting on our hands. Roady made a good point that we need to act and not just talk. I’m no millionaire or billionaire but I have the passion to try to make measurable improvements. Therefore I wanted to start a thread about genuine positive ideas for creating a better more sustainable and enjoyable BRFC. I’m willing to help in anyway possible. I would just like this to be the base for any money making ideas, improvements etc etc All ideas welcome! Wouldn’t it be nice for something positive to happen and us turn around and think “WE DID THAT!” LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE! How about doubling up th AGM with a Comedy Night?

I quite like the idea of suggesting other methods of supplying the catering, although I do think the huts could run about 300% quicker than they do.... It's remarkable just how pedestrian the service is when it really needs a bit of urgency.... Easy. Have fans get a card which they can load with money, either by machine or people walking around the ground. When buying food/drink you just swipe the card on a machine and the money is taken off. No need for the catering staff to mess around with money. It's not rocket science.

I'd personally like to see a park & ride type service. Traffic would improve, it's good for the environment & the club could make some money out of it or maybe a whats app group and if anyone could do with a lift just ask on there

Any builders who can build, all these sheds are embarrassing, nearly as embarrassing as the tents

Solar panels on the roofs. Surely a company would do it cheap to get the publicity and could save the club loads on the long run.

I’ve done some work very recently in this type of area, and done a lot of studies. There are many fan based and community based schemes now and many are proving to be successful. The majority of these opportunities are in the 6th and 7th tier of non league football where football finances are becoming less and less sustainable. There is a major issue with the money, or lack of in the game at present, I can only see this becoming worse and you see more and more clubs folding. The way football is heading in the football league itself I can ultimately see these fan owned, community owned clubs becoming more of the norm. I think it’s a great idea if people want to organise themselves and help, (not necessarily to the level explained above) and try to achieve something at BRFC, I just believe unfortunately any attempt to work with the club at this moment in time will be shot down

Exactly this, which is why many of these things are happening at a lower level of the football pyramid as the finances at this level would be an extremely difficult thing to achieve. The German 50+1 model is a great example of how things could be achieved unfortunately I think it’s to late for the English game to model its self on something similar. I believe the fans could achieve smaller things at this level and help the club progress but this would need the owners to be receptive of ideas and some small outside investment from us as fans. Wether they would be receptive of the ideas I don’t know, we don’t have enough information currently and we don’t know what the owners plans are moving forward. Are they already working on things to move the club forward? Are they just happy to cover loses at the moment without big investment? Are they looking to sell up and get out? We just don’t know

So we are three pages in and how many serious suggestions have we had? Looking a lot like roady has a point Mobile food/drink vendors Stalls inside the ground Park and ride 50/50 to pay for roof An example of another EFL clubs efforts An example of a German teams efforts Incentivise the staff Not a bad starting point really. In fairness as well the conversation about whether DS would welcome this has been constructive. I probably forgot a few ideas too so I would say his point has validity but this thread is offering a tonic to it.

All this talk about raising money etc for the club. It's already being done and has been for several seasons by the FFSC. This was started on the forum by JontheStripe and has been supported on here by myself and others since the start. It's only a tenner a season and we have sponsored players shirts, had hospitality meets, given out prizes etc etc. And now to my point. In spite of loads of posts on here I believe the largest number of members we have had is around 200 and yet it has always been noticeable that loads of regular and prolific posters on here have never bothered to pay a tenner and join. May I suggest when Parrot announces next season's FFSC that everybody on here joins and then we can start to make some serious money for the club we all love. Come on JTS, Parrot and Hugo, let's really go for it! UTG!

A lot of ideas from the man who started the thread and fair play to him and everyone who’s come up with something. I’m yet to see one of the many people who would be fantastic at running our club chip in with anything yet though....

A good thread, I have offered the club a bit of money, wanted to get the thatchers roof extended so that it covers the family stand , thereby converting this stand from an embarrassing tent into a proper stand, also get more seating in the ground so that more of the south stand could be given over to away supporters giving them more choice of whether to stand or sit thereby bringing in more income. It is difficult to cover the away end a stand was going to be put in there last season but it would have interfered with views from the dribuild.TG is ment to be contacting me to arrange a meeting, so any good ideas on here such as selling more food inside the ground from mobile points, I will raise with the club I will also ask about fund raising from supporters, although when I have done this before I was told the owners didn't need money, but things may have changed since then.

From the awayyyyyyy end terrace right round to the guinesssssss stand to be replaced with a large wraparound temporary stand. The sort you see hierdoor in when non league teams draw a big team in the cup or Gloucestershire cricket once upon a time. You could also get rid of that pathetic family tent and replace with same but extended along with another big screen ( has the first one arriveert yet?)
This will completely transform visually our ramshackle Ground for very little outlay whilst we wait and wait and wait and wait for our new ground at Filton.
