Free waterproof cape for anyone standing in areas without cover since we are never going to have a stadium fit for the 20th century

Yeah I was hoping to get regular fans forums going (even if they are just for blood letting) but it looks like they aren't going to happen. How come? I honestly don't know

They do not want to communicate with the fans Tommy. Progressive, positive forces like you and other young fans probably scare our current board. We all laughed at Higgs' monthly updates but oh my word at least we had an update of sorts. As i like to say "Jesus Wept!"

Hi all! Blame roady for this thread! As a fan base we aren’t half great at moaning, being sarcastic and bashing the club whilst sitting on our hands. Roady made a good point that we need to act and not just talk. I’m no millionaire or billionaire but I have the passion to try to make measurable improvements. Therefore I wanted to start a thread about genuine positive ideas for creating a better more sustainable and enjoyable BRFC. I’m willing to help in anyway possible. I would just like this to be the base for any money making ideas, improvements etc etc All ideas welcome! Wouldn’t it be nice for something positive to happen and us turn around and think “WE DID THAT!” LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Saw this the other day and thought it was interesting, shows what can be done if fans contribute to making the club greater. 5 minutes in shows how they renovated their own ground. Got promoted to the German first division this year.

Also people walking about actively selling food would help! You know a guy with a tray strapped on full of food I.e crisps, chocolate, sweet bags etc.. imo people get put off by the queues and when it’s easy people reach into their pocket easier!
You get this at the cricket.
We were sat there, when a woman turned up with what can only be described as an massive air pack, what the space walkers where on their back. It was full up with lager, bang you have a nice cold pint delivered to your seat. Then you have others walking around selling food. You didn't have to leave your seat for a pie & pint.

Hi Paul, Not doing well at all but that’s not for here. I think we have had a few attempts to garner support and talk with the club but came to nothing, sadly. You had NH who would not engage with his 50 internet warriors. I know of a couple who have tried to engage with the owners with respect to investment and were basically told it was not welcome and I mean DS. Forum poster vaughan was one. I don’t think we can really DO anything unless we have a receptive audience and I don’t feel we have that. Personally, I feel more concern now than I ever did before. I can’t see DS willing to carry the losses. I hope I am proved wrong though. I agree mate. It was proposed to the board that fans would raise the funds to build the training facility (I think), but DS rejected it stating they didn't want outside investment. I vaguely remember this. Deep in the memory banks it was proposed to Hamer on Twentyman programme. His answer was that DS did not want or require fans to raise funds as all was in hand. Maybe others can fill in more detail.

I'd personally like to see a park & ride type service.
Traffic would improve, it's good for the environment & the club could make some money out of it

I quite like the idea that Stevenage have setup a crowd funding attempt to raise £1.2m for a transfer budget/wages for next season www.tifosy.com/en/news_stories/english-football-s-first-mini-bond-raises-600-000-for-stevenage-fc-3233 something wouldn't seen quite right to me about ordinary people raising/donating money to billionaire owners.

Not the owners! maybe but the owners won't be giving the fans back anything if the club ever made a profit (unlikely I know). I guess it's their club we're just the mugs who support it.

See my point? Raising money for the club? It's not a charity for god's sake, they get enough of my hard earned cash when I pay to see them. That's as ridiculous as me donating money to my boss so he can go on holiday or something.

I quite like the idea of suggesting other methods of supplying the catering, although I do think the huts could run about 300% quicker than they do.... It's remarkable just how pedestrian the service is when it really needs a bit of urgency....

I think the point is any money raised could be used to the benefit of the supporters not the owner

Maybe offer them 10% off taking I bet service would quick up then ?

The clubhouse / bar to be open Monday to Friday from 7am to 2 pm for breakfasts and lunches. The car park could be used for those who want to catch a bus in to town during the days we don't use it. Is the Boot sale still there on a Sunday?
