Enjoyed the game, thought we looked alright. Rodman and Upson in particular had good games IMO. Also pleasantly surprised by Bath, who played the ball around really nicely operating in a Wilder-esque 3-5-2 with overlapping CBs. That big lad Bower won everything in the air (not hard when Reilly only came up to his crotch) and looked like he could play too, astute signing from Cheltenham it seems. Bath City were Excellent on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see their results against Newport and Exeter in preseason. I would not be surprised if they beat one of them. I predict a very good season for them on that showing. Me too. Playoffs last year, made some astute signings like Bower and Harvey (who will score 30 this season) and look like they could be going for it. Not got a Rovers ST this season and that was my first ever Twerton trip. Safe to say I'll be going there a few more times over the next 11 months!

I remember Harvey scoring an absolute wonder goal against Weston a few years back for Bath when he was on loan there.

Exeter are a very fit side and move the ball about well. Newport will be a good test for them tomorrow and then Forest Green on the 27th.

I think one could also apply caveats to Rovers performance on Tuesday. Nothing really counts until 3rd August.

However, when I saw him last season he was average at best and didn't look anywhere near football league standard.

All votes are off for player of the season! Little looks different class. 'Keeper lucky that both free kicks from just outside the area hit either upright. He was stranded on both occasions. Little looked the best player on the pitch to me. Knew what needed to be done, and did it. Good powerful header for the goal too. Keeper didn`t have much to do, apart from one good diving save, and to stand and watch the ball hit the post twice. Be interesting to see how he gets on, when the season proper starts. He reminds me of a taller, younger version of Michael Eavis, owner of Worthy Farm. Sercombe was abysmal. People on here who criticized Lines for his lack of enthusiasm for tackling, really ought to watch Sercombe. He makes Chris Lines look like one of the Kray Twins. Don`t know what happened to the player who first joined us. Same with Bennett. He drifted all over midfield last night, and showed one or two decent touches, but did he really have an impact on the game? Hardly.
Makes Chris Lines look like one of the Kray twins. I salute you sir...comic genius!
