We will never not have quarters at home, rightly so. The away kit should undergo a change up every season, the constant yellow away shirts have become a bore now. The black/grey quarters with luminous trim was a huge favourite and a very welcome difference. Black/Grey or any other combinations of dark colours not good on a drizzly Tuesday evening in February. Better to have easily seen colours so you can pick out your teammate in an instant, particularly if you're playing a high tempo game!

Our last 3 promotions have been with a yellow away kit. Keep it yellow!!!! This is a lie, only one of the previous three promotion seasons had yellow as the away...
2006/07 - Our away was navy blue with yellow piping, the third was the yellow...
2014/15 - Our away was the previously mentioned white with black sleeves and yellow and blue stripe, the third was the yellow...

Would be delighted with something similar again, but suspect it will actually be more retro than modern and that too is fine by me!

Both these seasons we ended up wearing the 3rd kit more as managers preferred it and we had more success. I don't have any memories of a chorus of "whites!" or "navys!"

They were third kits. The 2006/07 was recycled from the previous season, the 2014/15 kit was quickly printed by Barry's Errea franchise.

I have just returned from the ‘superstore’ having been sent on a Coventry away ticket mission, the young lady at the counter didn’t have any idea about the away shirt situation or indeed what it looks like. Only that the delay has been caused by an error at Macrons end, involving a “wrong colour”? So make of this what you will.

Exactly. So we played away in yellow in 3 of our most recent promotions. Basically we need yellow third shirts. My fading memory suggests that we wore the yellow kit because of a clash away at Dorchester, Tranmere and Woking. Although the white shirt did get one or two more outings, we tended to favour the yellow kit for the rest of the season.
Happy to be corrected on this.
Even though I also liked our previous white shirts, the point is that it does lead to too many clashes and necessitates a 3rd kit. We're barely able to get one right!
