I have just returned from the ‘superstore’ having been sent on a Coventry away ticket mission, the young lady at the counter didn’t have any idea about the away shirt situation or indeed what it looks like. Only that the delay has been caused by an error at Macrons end, involving a “wrong colour”? So make of this what you will. I can only imagine that being one colour for it to be wrong...

Assuming this is true it’s just vintage Rovers, how many times is dealing with other parties going to cause issues that ‘aren’t our fault’! Sainsbury's, UWE, big screen, pitch, Macron (kit issues last season and this). That’s just off the top of my head

According to Tom G, we are due to see the new away kit 'very soon'....
My bet is it will be released Friday this week.

Thought I'd share a few more pics of some classic Rovers second strips, whilst we all patiently wait. Any take your fancy? Attachment Deleted

The yellow and green quarters we wore on a wet drizzly night at Maine Road was perfect.

The yellow and green quarters we wore on a wet drizzly night at Maine Road was perfect. That's my favourite too. It's not quite so easy to carry it off as general leisure wear, I have worn it other than to games but the white ones get worn more often.

My all time favourite away shirt was this beauty... If we can have something similar to this (obviously with our current badge), I would be well happy. Green with black background of club badge or yellow with black background.
I like this one too. My 2nd favourite!

The early 90’s home and aways are absolute gold dust these days, I’m lucky to still own plenty of them but none I can actually wear. For anyone who can still squeeze into them, just pray you don’t meet a scorching August afternoon, it’s not too dissimilar from wearing a bin liner! You’ll lose 5lbs from sweat alone.

The Spall ones and the Hobott ones are actually very comfortable, they have a kind of jersey like material on the reverse, but your right about the others. I think the Spall ones are the best Rovers shirts ever produced, still on the look out for a few to add to my collection.

I have the 1991 universal components yellow shirt (with blue trim) still and the home one from the same season. Both in great condition, though not sure I could ever part with them. Its the late 90’s and early 2000’s shirts that I’ve struggled to shift even via eBay.

View AttachmentEither the centre bottom or the green and yellow quarters, I hope they don’t stick with yellow ( I’m a fan of our yellow kits) but could be a really good season for shirt sales if the away kit is a beaut, which can only be good for everyone. Club gets more money and I get a snazzy away kit to wear down to the shops to get the paper 👍

The late 90s early 00s aren't so great, although the Avec ones were good, I think the quality and desirability picked up again when errea started producing them.

I'd like a return to the green and yellow quarters or even the plain white.
The orange and yellow was an abomination though!

Though I have never seen a single Rovers supporter home or away wearing the orange and yellow quarters, not once. It must be incredibly rare. One did crop up on eBay a decade or so ago and starting price was in excess of £350!!

Tangerine and lime apparently, it looks worse in real life than in the picture! Does anyone actually remember Rovers wearing this one? I believe it's 1987-88. I don't have this one anymore, these are old photos, it was brand new, never worn, I didn't have the bottle to wear it and it was too big for me anyway, got some good money for it which went towards buying my Peugeot 205!
