Is this area still part of a regional development area and is not subject to normal planning laws If you’re referring to what was the Bristol Development Corporation, that was wound up in 1995.

And what exactly is that problem.....? You’d think he owned the city of Bristol, the way some go on. He does.

But how much is the hotel, if it's stand alone development, and cinema etc going to take up on the site? As far as clearing the site the other poster mentions that's surely the present owner's problem not ours? Is it definitely going to right next to it?? A lot of clubs do it elsewhere. If there is more free land, within a few miles, it could be done somewhere else. umm Would the current mem site make a wonderful location for a Hotel/cinema/Entertainment complex... Just sayin'

So, why is it embarrassing that there is finally some evidence that things are actually going on behind scenes? I will also believe it when I’m sat in it, but it isn’t embarrassing. What is embarrassing is our shithole of a stadium because I’m personally embarrassed to hear about stadium talk, time and time again!! When we all know, that ultimately, it will NEVER happen. C'mon, talking about our next failed stadium project is what we do.

Wael has said they are looking at a few options I wonder if one of the options is Filton airfield and jumping on board with YTL ? That would be my preferred option ! But would be happy with a new stadium at the Fruit Market

Just sayin' Now realised the hotel suggestion came from Bert Tann on the OTIB, he posted this around 30 mins after Wael's R Bristol interview, not sure if he was ITK or just made it all up in the half an hour or so after he'd heard the interview? "Announcement expected imminently from Dwane Sports to say they are purchasing a valuable tract of land at St Phillips, Bristol on which they will build a new 20 000 capacity multi-sports stadium. The development will also include a hotel, offices, restaurants, cinema complex and associated parking. The project is said to be financed through the support of the Bahrain Arab International Bank (BAIB) and the Kuwait Asia Bank."

Surely you haven't been taken in by the Shithead w anker Bert Tann, Topper. He thinks he's such a clever smart-arse with his hilarious, witty postings on One Turd. The fact he's written that within 30 mins of Wael's horseshit proves what a sad tosser he is. Its quite funny really, because some of the retards that haunt that 1000+ page Gas thread actually believe he is a Gashead. You really couldn't make it up.

Whilst it's a tip now (and I think some posters/supporters are getting a bit caught up in that) it'll be a very happening place for a stadium to be sited. It'll be slap bang in the middle of new facilities which will give us a competitive advantage over Ashton Gate to fight for conferencing/non-BRFC related events.

Really strange that he/she would post this information on otib, but not on here. In fact I still don’t get why there are people purporting to be Rovers fans that choose to post on otib. It seems like they want to play the court jester in playing along with their mocking. Slightly different tactic, but I also can’t understand the few wankers that come on here that are obviously City fans, but pretend to be Rovers supporters. Some strange bastards about!

As a mod I can safely say that thinking about who is who and what is what isn't worth wasting brain space over.... Just believe what you see credible and disregard the rest... And go to bed with a full head of hair....
