It might well turn out to be a decade until the stadium is finally built. UTG. Optimism. Fantastic stuff!

It's a 20 mintute walk to our nearest bus stop into the Centre, it stops at the Bear Pit. That's another 15 minute walk to the FM. And back. If the buses are on time, or as is the case by many cut back so much that's it not that easy to catch one full stop. And if it's going to attract as many fans as everyone hopes, coping with say, 8000 fans on a Saturday afternoon who are intending to bus it there and back home, it's not that attractive. Sorry, do you have crystal ball and know what the services will be in a few years. I could just as easily state there are is 4 bus stops, one at each corner and a tram link from Temple Meads. It’s all possible. Who knows, but have the feeling I will be a little closer to reality. No, do you? Anyway, I'm enjoying my Bank Holiday, Where Eagles Dare has just started, and I'm not interested in your reality so I'll leave it there.

Would Rovers' Fruit Market site stadium be better than Ashton Gate? What’s your opinion and where is it you sit at Ashton Gate? That is if you even go?

I agree with all the points about being part of the community in North Bristol but see the situation much differently. Moving to the centre gives us a unique opportunity to do what neither Bristol club has done before and become THE club that represents Bristol as a whole. It’ll be the start of a new era for the club. There you go ! We agree! We lose all the points about community and heritage for the vision of your post. I don’t think we’ll lose heritage, we’ve not had a proper home for nearly 40 years and still managed to keep our identity along the way.

Just can't see the Fruit Market stadium would be larger than the one at Ashton, not when there is going to be so much building going on at the site.

Does it matter whether the plot is as big as Trashton ? Not unless you're a sh*thead of course.
Perfect location, near to the very heart of the City of Bristol. Embrace it if it comes to be and only worry about the things you can change yourself.

What building's going on at the site, I thought no plans for the site had been disclosed? It would be a bit short sighted if the stadium potentially was larger than AG, even if it's smaller initially.

Might be a crazy idea and I'm aware this is me now getting ahead of myself! But, there will likely be a consultation during any potential build where supporters can raise issues such as transport etc. There weren't buses to the Mall before it was built.. Try getting a bus from Kingswood to the Mall. That would involve going to The Mall so I will pass on that one.

The 75 has always ran to Cribbs I used to live in Patchway back in mid 80s and used to catch the 75 from Coniston Road to Gateway (now Asda) if we couldn't be arsed to walk

Anybody that lives in south glos could go to the mall and park and catch the number 1 that goes to brislington get off at the turnpike on bath road walk to the ground takes about 5 minutes Or catch the number 2 and get off at three lamps and walk down to the ground

Regardless if you assume driving to the Mall takes the same time as it does now to drive to the Mall, then that's around 1.5 hours added to your journey each way. Driving to Parkway or Filton station and then getting the train to Temple Meads seems a better option, just hope they build a decent transport link to TM from the FM.

Unfortunately, i feel that the fact many of us can drive to The Mem is going to become less and less of a factor as time goes by.
There will be more and more resident parking zones, fewer spaces and endless other restrictions introduces as the modern World hates the car.
Whether our future lies at The Mem, The Fruitmarket or anywhere else it will likely be the case you will be getting there by train, bus, park n ride or those infuriating little scooters that get dumped in the middle of the pavement.

Compare how you park now to when we first arrived at the Mem. Use to be able to park 5 mins away after 1400.
