😂… here we go again 🙄 we’ve had more failed stadium attempts than I’ve had hot dinners. To coin a phrase….. it ain’t happening lads! Don't worry, Topper will be along any minute to lie about how many times you've said that.

I think we knew that Wael and co were hard bargainers after the UWE collapse.
That's a good thing, we want a good deal for the club ultimately.
If we were only going to get a small capacity, or not have rights to the non matchday revenue or not have any parking on site. Then it's best we look elsewhere.
It's a tough pill to swallow after disappointment after disappointment on the stadium front but crucial we get it right.
If the redevelopment of the Mem land is the only option we have then so be it, it's a good location just a shame about the parking situation and some of the neighbours.

To be honest with 3400 in the new stand, the potential for at least 5000 in a redeveloped Thatchers end and 1800 in the West / East stands that gives us 10000 seats and approx 3000 standing left on the sides - good enough unless we hit the championship at which point rebuild the East. Stadium been a distraction for years ..... would rather see progress on the pitch. Just found figures below - if they are to believed maybe 14k achievable with 10k seats Area Capacity Uplands Terrace 2,327 Family Terrace 721 DAS Terrace 1,100 Away Terrace 933 Total remaining standing = 4120 ( although perhaps away capacity reduced ) Uplands Stand 1,160 DAS Stand 710 Existing seats = 1870 New Clubhouse stand = 5000 New South Stand = 3400 That would give us 10270 seats and 4120 standing - decent enough ...... add in new toilets etc ..... Your first paragraph is a good summary of what was described to me at the Lincoln game as a three year project with the South Stand being the initial phase. Don't Know if this is a temporary or permanent solution.

I think that was pretty obvious when Wael and the new owner didn't last 5 mins in their first joint meeting with the planners and Conygar after the new owners arrived.

Im very much of the opinion that our permanent future lies away from the mem. But they simply HAVE to do some serious work on the Mem now. Second tier on the north terrace over the top of the clubhouse, safe standing bottom tier, seats upper tier with a propper roof (no pillars). Rebuild the east side moving changing rooms etc to that side, then a simple full length all seater stand on the west side.

Redeveloping the mem is the most sensible solution. We can do it bit by bit,so what if it takes years to achieve it will be our's and be in a location where most of us want to be. As for the parking argument,it never stopped the trashton rebuild. Come on Rovers make your minds up now and stick to it.

Let's remember part of the deal was to sell the MeM to generate some cash. If it takes this long to build a small temporary stand which most teams got in national leauge. Who would buy the Mem ?. And once you purchase it : what on earth will you build on it and grant P.P with the Green lobbyist?
It be like buying land you could never ever build anything on with one battle after another. I'm afraid the Greens are stuck with us now !.

Perhaps JB was right when he said he was stopping talking to the Bristol Post as they only put out negative stories about the club.

A really embarrassing couple of weeks for the club. So we have wasted four years with the sum outcome of absolutely **** nothing. What are we going to do with the video of the fruit market that we put out now? Put it on the end of season DVD?

haven't we been told for years and years redeveloping the mem iisnt a option? now they will say its the way forward get everyone board then be let down ill bump this post in 2030 Yes but we've had Two different designs for the site in the past, one with a Hotel. The problem is where would we play while it's built. When the Student accommodation mob pulled out it's a shame we couldn't get the investment to do the build ourselves as we would be raking in all the rent now. As for parking we could easily have a 2 level car park without going too high if the current car park was levelled.

So if we’re planning on staying at the Mem and we knew talks were floundering with the Fruity ( most of known for many months ) , why are we building a temporary stand ? Build a proper fit for purpose stand at that end !
We’re so bloody tinpot it’s unbelievable 🙄

Thought it had all gone eerily quiet on the Fruit Market front.
Just when you thought this week couldn’t get any worse…..
