So if we’re planning on staying at the Mem and we knew talks were floundering with the Fruity ( most of known for many months ) , why are we building a temporary stand ? Build a proper fit for purpose stand at that end ! We’re so bloody tinpot it’s unbelievable 🙄 Because there is something else in the pipeline 😉

It is not like the new stand is scaffolding - it is a pretty decent prefabricated construction at a price that makes economic sense.

We never do ! 😂 Then when we finally see the diggers moving in after 50 odd yrs we get a temporary stand with pillars in the sight lines and a plastic bloody roof 🙄

If the plan is to re build the Mem, it is a joke, we can't even get the temporary stand.. not to mention the entire ground needs flattening. Why does the bad news always come from another source that isn't the club?

If we can't agree terms, then it's best to move on. We might have put this out there, hoping they would agree to more favourable terms. As long as we do up the mem in the meantime and don't do nothing, then it's not a big deal. We need our own project. When you are leasing both parties want to make a profit. It's hard enough for one party to make a profit off a football stadium! I'm fully behind if we can't agree terms then move on but we've had 4 fuc**Ng years to agree terms. Your not telling me we've now suddenly realised after 4 years the terms arnt favourable because if that is the case then this club can absolutely do one and heads would have to roll.

Who thinks the *attempted* signing of JCH ( which they even ballsed that up 🙄) , was to appease fans for the bad news they knew was coming down the line on the stadium?

I don't imagine any real details were discussed until Conygar reached the agreement with the Fruit Market, until then we were just an interested party. I'm not convinced they will even go ahead with it themselves as they seemed to be seeking further investment and even sold other land to carry out the next phase in Nottingham.

"we’ll end up with a poor substitute for a proper stand ."
Yes a stand that is built to a price the club can afford, that pays for itself with increased attendance and is definitely better than what it replaces.
Would rather spend the money elsewhere in the ground than have a Rolls-Royce south stand and a dump of the rest of the ground.

We're all mad b*stards!
Why do we all support this club?
If your Mrs let you down even half as much as Rovers do, would of divorced her years ago.

But that’s the thing, back then it wasn’t ( to the best of the knowledge to those on this forum I guess) tits up. Was taking a while - sure. Possibly had issues with the discussions/negotiations - sure. But was still reasonable to assume it was a live issue. So I believe we would have had discussions/arguments but in a slightly different direction to that which we have now as to why we would need a permanent stand if we were “moving”.?

I just don't feel the same outrage about this collapsing as I did and still do about UWE.
