So many inaccuracies in this it’s unreal and a great leak by we know who and his boys. One man will remain in all this. Spot on Paul. Wael speaks out Saturday and another member of the board phones the Post a few days later. |

He's always said he'd sell if someone came along who could push the club forward. I wish people would stop believing the sh*te they make up, he's always been up front with his intentions. I thought he first said he would listen to offers in March 2019, but not before. Prior to that it was "I'm in it for the long run". Happy to stand corrected if that is not the case. The Wael fans boys can't see he's only in for himself, let's hope he hasn't screwed up the deal by going public. I fear he's totally out of his depth, as this sounds like a massive development scheme not just messing about building a stadium and hotel at the UWE. |

Sounds promising.
Like the fact the potential new owners have experts and experience in major inner city developments and they've already held talks with the Mayor's office about the project.
I think this sort of development would fit with the councils vision for the area and if the potential new owners have successfully developed similar sites in other cities that can only be a good thing.
Sounds like things might be coming to a head one way or another with talks supposedly at an advanced stage and the next 2 or 3 weeks a critical phase of negotiations.

I was was going to point out that roady has a huge agenda of his own. why should anyone really believe him. surely it wouldn't be because he knows a couple of football people and likes to come on and off forums whenever he fancies it? people have been looking at buying rovers for ages. That doesn't make wael a particularly bad person, or a good person. it just makes him a person in a complicated business, and one he's not experienced in. By pointing out that he's set himself up with a strange management / board model, and has allowed people like TG and Starnes to undermine the moral principles of the club, doesn't make someone a wael-hater, just as saying he's amazing doesn't make that person right. Life is rarelt so black and white. He and DS will not take Rovers properly forward. whether someone else can is a different story of course |

Topper I take it you have never met wael, he is charming and is Gas obsessed and a massive fan, his family might not have the same enthusiasm but he is a proper fan. The disclosure might have been a calculated gamble as the takeover is reliant on the fruit market coming off, I don't know what will happen and am never itk but do trust that wael has good intentions. |

If it's not clear, I will spell it out, most of my posts on this thread have been me taking the water. The one I stand by is my response to Topper. The BEP have a long history of not always being super on the money and I will restate, I am personally uncomfortable with all the sh** Wael is now getting based on something none of us even know to be true. |

It could be the best of times, it could be the worst of times, let’s hope it’s the former. It is now obvious why the Waq family have done nothing to actually enhance the club during their tenure. Shame on Waq for making so many false promises, l dread the club possibly going into administration, and with no investment in the team the club slipping back out of the football league. Undoubtedly the players will be concerned, the whole thing is shameful.

Anything you want to share? I also think that MS and TG have done great things for the club given that they are employees only. They have instilled a streak of professionalism about how we go about marketing and improving the income streams which previously, was dealt with by someone who was a hotelier for a living. No disrespect to Ian Holtby, but TG has brought about huge improvements. |
