You're seriously having a laugh, as what evidence have the ALQ's shown in the past they've got access to £100m's to finance this development! this is the post I could not find / seems to be deleted. maybe something to do with roady deleting his post before Hugo's?? surely roady didn't fly off the handle and then change / delete? Heaven forfend. I stand by that response, though I'd hardly call it gushing!!?? I'm just not ready to commit to anything based on what the BEP says. |

So after many months of WAQ sticking to apparent NDA’s, all of a sudden with this project he has ‘gone rogue’ and ‘putting the whole thing in jeopardy’ because he’s in it for himself?

Two points. They haven't put any money in that they aren't going to get back whether this deal goes through or not. They caused the UWE to fall through.
Thought that was Sainsbury's? Not sure the ALQ's, or anybody else for that matter, would have made the UWE viable once they shafted us by not purchasing the Mem. Hopefully if this does come off we'll still own the ground not have to rent it for someone. Al Qadis bought the club after the first court case and knowing they couldn’t rely on selling the ground to Sainsbury’s but told us that it didn’t matter anyway, and UWE was still going to happen. |

Anybody wishing to takeover Rovers will have one motive. That is to get their hands on the Mem and coin in on developing houses before the bubble bursts again. My fear is that those people will build a second rate small stadium just to get us out the Mem. This will leave us with no room for expansion and progression as a club. Maybe i am paranoid, i hope for the best but every football fan should fear a takeover. They are not always for the good of the club.

The Wael fans boys can't see he's only in for himself, let's hope he hasn't screwed up the deal by going public. I fear he's totally out of his depth, as this sounds like a massive development scheme not just messing about building a stadium and hotel at the UWE. The most sensible post yet. There is an NDA but he just decided to go rogue. Don't know how the Post got the story but just hope it hasn't been screwed. But Wael is such a nice man and the friend of Gasheads everywhere. Totally unlike that nasty Mr Hamer and his cronies. It’s like a bloody pantomime. |

I was was going to point out that roady has a huge agenda of his own. why should anyone really believe him. surely it wouldn't be because he knows a couple of football people and likes to come on and off forums whenever he fancies it? people have been looking at buying rovers for ages. That doesn't make wael a particularly bad person, or a good person. it just makes him a person in a complicated business, and one he's not experienced in. By pointing out that he's set himself up with a strange management / board model, and has allowed people like TG and Starnes to undermine the moral principles of the club, doesn't make someone a wael-hater, just as saying he's amazing doesn't make that person right. Life is rarelt so black and white. He and DS will not take Rovers properly forward. whether someone else can is a different story of course There’s more agendas in play than a game of Netrunner. The sycophantic defence of Wael is just as bad as the behaviour of the other side who seem to be batting for Hamer/Masters. I’m sick of the lot of it and I hope that there is a consortium out there who is able to get everyone behind them and put all this divisive partisan ITK agenda bollocks to bed. |
