North Bristol Golf Club, who are tenants, is built on a hillside and the land is owned by a property owner who made his millions from selling land for Bradley Stoke to be built on. He is now in the business of renting out his land not selling it. I'm sure he would be open to an offer of building a stadium on his land for an annual rent if the Golf Club could be persuaded to relinquish their lease. Jut the small problem of levelling a huge hillside though.Brighton managed it! Mind you, their stadium cost £90m.... Anything is possible, especially if you have the cash.

Not getting too excited about a new stadium,as we have been let down numerous occasions over last forty years!! I can't imagine you'd get to excited about anything Rovers related.

Its interesting observing the updates that pompey put on youtube as regards to the updating and improving fratton park. If only to see how the west stand at the Mem could become an all seated stand.
A new stadium is the best option but there needs to be a date upon which a line is drawn in the sand. At that point the club has to then focus on adapting the Mem to the current century.

From the sounds of it we could be hearing something in the not too distant future about the FM with the deal nearing closure.

To be fair I'd settle on the Mem being brought up to 20th Century standards. 🤭

Art Deco or Neo-Gothic? We can rule modernist out Probably more surrealism. Thing is, it is a unique place with decent pubs and lots on the glos road. When the mem is rocking, i can’t imagine that anywhere else. It’s an intimidating place for away fans. I would rather we made the mem decent and stay

New stadium with a mixed fan zone outside before going into the bulk standard concourse bars would be a good shout IMO. Fan zone has done well and shows it works, been a bit lucky with the weather

And until that changes we are stuck in a kind of no-mans land, dependent upon people outside of the football club. UTG!

In fairness to Wael, what’s the point in spending millions updating the mem when we’ll hopefully be leaving soon anyway? It’s easy for us as supporters to say spend your millions mr owner, but would any of us really do the same if we didn’t support the club?

He does support the club though and anyone taking over the club knew it was a prerequisite that a new ground has to be built. Anything else and they shouldn’t be buying it , we need a new ground and we demand a new ground. Either deliver it or sell up . We can’t stay in limbo forever .

I’m talking about large numbers being happy for the Mem to be our permanent home. Of course it would be foolish to spend large amounts of money on a temporary home. I presumed, but Stuart can speak for himself, that he meant that many would be happy to stay at the Mem permanently. Hence the need to develop it. And you can accuse me of many things but demanding Wael spends his money is not one of them! He’s the owner so he calls the shots, no problem. I thought that was clear. 😉 UTG!

What the point in Wael drawing a line, when it's clear he has absolutely no intention of developing the Mem? Rovers must be the only club who doesn't give fans updates, Peterborough, Swindon, Oxford and Gillingham have all recently updated their fans on their own intentions, at Rovers all we get his snippets of information from Sam Frost, and it's anybody's guess if it's correct or total nonsense just to try and keep us happy.
