He might not be able to talk about it, until things are signed or we decide not to do it. He has talked about the club needing to improve the facilities etc, without giving details. I don't think he will want to continue writing off millions of debts, every few years. So I expect we are working behind the scenes, even if they can't talk about it. Absolutely. Don’t recall him mentioning it before or since then. It was highly unusual of him to mention it at the time and I feel like it was partially an attempt to try and regain the situation from the rumour mongers. Waels style is very much to discuss it once it’s sorted and not a minute before.

Knowing Rovers luck the early site investigations will reveal a full on encampment of almost extinct newts or a full on Roman settlement or burial ground or maybe graves from the Black death or Spanish flu pandemic will be uncovered seriously delaying the start of construction for at least 12 months.

If we leave it a few more years the regulations will have changed so much they’ll be modelling new stadiums on The Mem! #AheadOfTheGame 😉

Thought they tested the ground structure ages ago ? They did but I presume they’ll have to conduct further ecological testing and ground surveys as part of the planning process.

Parking situation is a nightmare for anything around 9k, imagine 15k+ with a redeveloped Mem. Love the haunts of Glos Road but we’ll never be self sustainable for food and drink whilst plonked where we are. Crammed in by the housing with no Breathing space? Not for me.
The FM? Just the right side of the river, bang in the middle of the city, the Pirate flag slammed right there, Souness style in Turkey! New space, brand new modern facilities, unlimited public transport links (major plus for the environmental side) don’t be afraid of change people🤘🏼I’m all for it

A new Mem would be lovely but impractical. If it’s FM versus somewhere like the new arena in Filton or further out then it’s FM every time for me. Great rail links. Minutes from the centre of town. Puts us front and centre in the city. 82ers would hate it.

What's happening on the old Bath road TMD site?
Saw they were doing exploratory groundwork there recently but haven't been near it for around a year, think this brown field site was in the region of 20 acres.
Lovely location for a ground, perfect location in fact.

What advantage is it to your typical present day Gashead to be just minutes from the city centre, especially as it seems to be dying anyway by the looks of the Galleries redevelopment. Not even sure public transport is great if you don't use the train, I can imagine getting from Filton to the FM on a bus is a bit of a nightmare journey.

Getting to the Mem from any direction is no walk in the park mind, especially anytime after 1pm.
