The Commonwealth games stadium cost £ 113 million to build not sure if it included all the indoor Arenas tho but the land was a old athlete stadium That's us sorted then. We can just move in a few weeks. And, to make things even more homely - Birmingham can use the "mind the gap" AND harp on about "there's only one team in Birmingham" (not sure how Villa would feel about that line, but then again - you can't please everybody!

49 tommorrow, guess even now my son will be in his late 30's/early 40's until we get a new Stadium. My Son loves Rovers but for christ sake how many generations do we have to put our Bristol youth and future through to get a Stadium to be proud of?

Love or Hate the Ted's, they have a fantastic Stadium...... What the F##k have we got. Sadly we look Non League to them. Sorry. I just had to get it off my chest.
We need action and we need it now ffs, I can't afford it' but somewhere there is someone who can deliver. Just won't happen in my lifetime sadly

How very sad that you rarely post on other threads but you are a regular on here. Not even a good luck to Nick Anderton, but that's pretty obvious when most of your posts are having a go at the club. Hope you enjoy today's game at the Mem, if indeed you ever attend.

You could be right but for 2 of the last 3 years the economy and Covid etc has had a major impact meaning pretty much all building activity was delayed or put on hold. Re TG looking at other sites - that’s just good business acumen to make sure you have options, don’t get put over a barrel and hold a strong negotiating hand. It doesn’t necessarily mean nothing is happening though.... reality is, no one actually knows.... Prior to the last couple of years we had UWE which we pulled out from and then it naturally would take some time to commence new searches etc as well as the change in ownership holdings so in reality, whilst 6 years sounds long, has there realistically been that much time to do anything? Ant believe you said about building work not going on just look around Bristol loads of offices homes being built I think you need new glasses Yes there is building work going on now but during the pandemic very little building work happened - extremely little and it was only existing in flight activity that was essential that continued.. House building slowed, office building slowed and it was only really roadwork activity that continued… This is from the Office of National Statistics “As it was for most sectors, 2020 was a highly unusual year for the construction industry. A lot of work was paused on building sites during the early weeks of the first lockdown”

can't we just get rid of this ***g thread and get on with concentrating on the important thing, football. There are a few other clubs that have poor grounds in the EFL, I bet they don't have 600 pages of dross discussing how crap their ground is and what is or isn't going to be done about it.

However, we have more soul in one blade of grass than they have in the entire Lansdown stand. I think we will move on from the Mem soon, but we'll miss it. It'll be just like the song - you don't know what you got til it's gone.

There are a few other clubs that have poor grounds in the EFL, I bet they don't have 600 pages of dross discussing how crap their ground is and what is or isn't going to be done about it. The difference is they have either built or improved them or not. They haven't been led down the path, more than once, of being told a new stadium is essential and is on the way, whilst doing nothing of any significance to their current home. And that's not just a dig at Wael. We have suffered under other owners in the same way. What do you seriously expect when we are told stadium plans are afoot? Just ignore it and concentrate on who we might be getting on loan from Chelsea for one season, or if a yellow card last week was justified? The whole future of the club and the football you want to concentrate on depends on this. A generation sloshing round in L2/L1 or a push for the Championship? And you want to get rid of this ****g thread? Enjoy your pasty.

I fail to see what is so fantastic about Bristol City's stadium. It would be among the smallest in the Premiere League if the club were to attain promotion. The stadium looks very ordinary to me. I hope Rovers have a much better stadium in time! UTG.
