This will never happen as the real estate experts on this forum have clearly stated, there's no financial return to be made on developing your own ground. The only financially sound route is to sell your own stadium and then a kindly investor comes along to build you a new stadium, simple Let's be honest where are we going to find £80m+ to develop just the north terrace? You can be pretty certain BCC won't be contributing anything towards our build. This to me looks like a Darlington type move, building a stand far exceeding what the club actually needs.

Don't know if it will be that much, but the price of materials have gone up loads, like everything else, since then. So things have doubled, or even tripled.

Where is the 80m come from out of interest, wasn’t the entire UWE build originally going to cost around 40m? It's more than just a new stand, according to this article. "The scheme is part of the Council’s ‘Wrexham Gateway’ project, which will see better connected rail and bus transport, a new route into the town centre and the upgrades to the Racecourse Ground. It is estimated that the total project will cost between £80M and £90M, with between £40M and £45M coming from public subsidies. The Welsh Government has already pledged £25M to the project, specifically for the redevelopment of the site around Wrexham General station and to improve transport connections." www.newcivilengineer.com/latest/wrexham-council-eyes-levelling-up-cash-to-redevelop-historic-stadium-10-05-2022/

If Wrexham do get pp in November, then they'll probably be starting work on the new stand before we've even heard if Congyer Inv. are still proceeding with the FM development.
Didn't Ryan Gosling only become their owner a couple of years ago?

If I let Rovers stadium plans affect my sanity I'd have been locked away years ago.

I don't mean to be rude but honestly there's no Santa Claus either Until it's confirmed over then I'll live in hope, even if it's looking more unlikely the longer it goes. If I let Rovers stadium plans affect my sanity I'd have been locked away years ago. I know the feeling luckily from what I've learnt from those that have attempted building a stadium in Bristol over the years I'm now 100% confident it won't happen. I find it a horrible watch to see fellow gasheads being lead down the garden path over the issue. Even seeing DC being lead to the brink of madness over pipe dreams was bad enough and it was his job. It became abundantly clear for me when I had the opportunity to talk to Geoff Dunford a few times about the Severnside Development that a club like ours would have to sell it's soul and potentially it's future to get a stadium built. The sad part, for me, is all these nonsense plans mean that nothing meaningful is ever done with what we've got. The use of grants and crowd funding could go a long way at the Mem. I know I probably shouldn't worry too much but it seems a shame to see the club being run down into something that can never compete above the third division. It's still a laugh to go to games and meet friends but there's little point in worrying about promotion other than raising a few quid from the play offs. Even watching the EFL Highlights programme is painful these days seeing how clubs with tiny budgets seem to show their fans some respect

The ground is on a school / local Sports Centre site so always difficult to build much more in those circumstances. But the crowd of 10 will still rock when they play Corfe Castle or Swanage! 👍 Hope you enjoyed the visit. Football or pleasure? UTG!

ESPN will be broadcasting Wrexham's FA Cup Qualifying match live in America on Saturday, such is their growing popularity over there.

No madness is believing yet another hairbrained scheme like the installation of electronic turnstiles to make it more efficient way of getting into the ground. And they said that buying tickets both season and match day from the supporters club shop was not 21st century
