Topper, it’s part of the Wrexham gateway scheme. A £100 million scheme to tidy up that part of Wrexham and this is one small part of it. The UK Goverment have already turned down one bid for £18m, the second bid for the money seems to be based on the hollywood factor now that pp has been granted for the stadium redevelopment. The Welsh government have already committed £25 million to the whole scheme and have purchased property and land around the stadium to enable the redevelopment of the area including the railway station. The FAW are also on board to enable the upgrading of the ground in order that international games can once again take place and a further £45 million of private investment is also involved. It’s happening without a doubt.

Attachment DeletedTruro City on the local news down here this evening having had plans for a new stadium back in Truro approved. They sold their old ground and have been playing in Plymouth( not Argyle's ground) for some time.Being financed in conjunction with the Local Council. Mock up model shows how it will look initially but although great for the Southern League perhaps wouldn't be enough for EFL requirements. In other news down here ,Muff manager voted League one M O Month for the second month running.

It’s happening without a doubt. Let's see if it happens if the UK Government turn down the bid for the second time, spending £m's on a new stand for a non league/lower league club might not be so attractive when the owners have to spend their own money. Everybody was once keen for the stadium at the UWE to be built until it came to actually funding it.

So the scheme was scraped. We all know what happened with Saintsburys. It looks likely that it will go ahead, but there is always doubt.

See the rumours are doing the rounds again. On Facebook, someone recons they attended an interview for a job and they were told they had to let them know they would be relocating in 3 years times. That plans were about to be signed off. Heard similar rumors, lots of times before though🤣

That’s common news.

Good, don't want an update saying we are working on it, but can't say anything yet. Update, when there is something they can say. We didn't here anything about uwe/Sainsburys until plans were drawn up and contracts were signed.

Can't think of many clubs where you could get away with that.

Oh those days of interviews and media courting. After getting the fans hopes up only then to say absolutely bugger all for 3 yrs is an insult . I don’t care that some fans think this is ok , deals maybe or maybe not going on , confidentially etc etc .
