Perhaps he is letting those employed talk about the relevant things (?) . In a way its good he is not making it all about him . Important topics like this you want the organ grinder, not the monkey. Dont you want to hear from the organ manufacturer (?)

I want to hear from the owner of the football club about what is going on regarding a new stadium after 3 years of silence, because as he says himself "this football club requires and needs a new stadium" and "If we want to succeed, a new stadium has to happen. A new stadium has to be built."

We've heard virtually nothing about anything from the owner for 3 years. Oh those days of interviews and media courting. After getting the fans hopes up only then to say absolutely bugger all for 3 yrs is an insult . I don’t care that some fans think this is ok , deals maybe or maybe not going on , confidentially etc etc . love Wael but totally agree with you

It's been suggested that previously Wael almost ruined the previous plans for the FM by speaking about them, would you be happy if he did now ruin the plans by speaking about them again and thereby breaking any NDA?

Good, don't want an update saying we are working on it, but can't say anything yet. Update, when there is something they can say. We didn't here anything about uwe/Sainsburys until plans were drawn up and contracts were signed. Nothing to say in 3 years FFS. Can't think of many clubs where you could get away with that. He has wrote open letters in that time. Where he has said a stadium is still priority and that we are still working on making that happen. He also talked about paying off debts and the training ground etc. He won't be able to go into more details, until he's allowed. Clauses are common practice in negotiations. Can't believe fans expect him to say something, when it's obvious he won't be able to. He can say we are still working on improving the club, but that's about it. Fans moaned that he wanted them limelight, now fans moan that he doesn't talk enough.

How about Wael saying "I'm sure fans will appreciate I can't go into specific details about any stadium plans but we are looking at various options and hope to make an announcement regarding a new stadium within ?? months/years/decades (deleted as appropriate)."
There's no NDA (if there is one) broken with those comments and it at least confirms their are some plans for a new stadium being considered.
If Wael isn't now looking then why not just tell us, I sense we can take it after all these years!!

At what point do you think this is taking the pi55 ? Or are you happy to stay in limbo land for ever , out of interest?

The fact TG got away with seemingly ignoring the question last night suggests they could easily do it for a few more years? Hopefully JB will force his hand, but given our luck if we do look like making a promotion challenge he'll then be head hunted!

I don't often agree with you Topper but I think having a high-ish profile manager who Wael probably respects more than any other he's employed could be a factor in improving the facilities at the Stadium. Judging by Joeys comments about identify and being proud of the club will mean he's very conscious about the way fans are treated.

Why are we luckier than most, what other clubs who can easily attract 10K gates have got inferior grounds? Does any other league club have tents for stands? Why are we lucky to still be here, we've never had any significant financial issues like Derby or Bolton etc or even the 82'ers? Even when we just had local self made businessmen running the club we had new stadium plans, now we have no really signs of anything happening even though the owner is seemingly very wealthy. Unless something is done soon we've really hit the glass ceiling as far as progressing up the leagues is concerned, even though we clearly have the fan base to progress.

True, but still no real signs of anything happening, and who really knows whether Barton does see us as medium to long term project (hopefully he does) or just a stepping stone now he's got his court cases out of the way.

As others said. Now after 3 years, is that when you say "it aint happening lads". Once a believer that the club would push on at good speed, but with silence from Rovers it hard to believe anything is going on regarding the stadium at all. Love to be proved wrong.

The investors have not said that it's not going ahead. I expect a statement, when a decision has been made. It's not like we had COVID-19 and stuff in that time. It's not been in a normal 3 years and it's not been that long anyway, if you read the letters. We don't know if they will agree terms for a stadium, but it sounds like they are still looking into the project. So I doubt either party can talk about it. Do you really want an update saying it's out of our hands, but talks are ongoing etc etc etc. Business will be told

A few shouts of businesses are/might be moving but we’ve heard that for 3 yrs . Yes I’ll give you the covid aspect , that’s definitely not helped and probably delayed things . But…… to say nothing for 3 yrs imo is wrong . Some might be ok with it but Im pretty sure it’s getting to the stage where most fans aren’t . This is compounded on all the other years of false dawns ( not Waels fault ) . There’s gotta come to a point where we all say ….. WTF is going on ?
