One extreme to the other! Of course you can still be a decent owner with interests of the club at heart whilst accepting you just don't have the financial wherewithal to take the club to the level it could be at. He has enough for us to survive as a lower league club in a dilapidated stadium from a bygone age and that seems plenty good enough for most fans, so he's all good. That's pretty much how I see the situation too. He has a very easy ride from the fans, so things are unlikely to change soon. Oh well. I'm sure he will continue to do enough to keep us viable and hopefully treading water, and for that I'm grateful. I don't doubt his good faith for a moment. I understand and share the frustration with lack of progress regarding a ground. For now I’m fairly comfortable with the ‘easy ride’ he’s had from fans but I’m still interested in what other form of action anyone would suggest should come from the fans. What would you propose and how do you think it may alter Wael’s intentions?

What would you propose and how do you think it may alter Wael’s intentions? I think it would be of benefit all round if there was some dialogue between the owner and the fans. I can see Waels point of view about the route to the promised land is via a new stadium but this issue runs very deep amongst gasheads. We have not laid one brick upon another since the 1950's and that was done by our landlords. I don't think he fully appreciates the good will and positive vibes any new permanent structure would create. Literally anything that involved some bricks and cement would be huge for us. Until he fully engages with the fan base on this subject he's leaving stones unturned

The "if" thread prompted me to have a look at what Conygar Inv. were up to, they've recently released their annual results and the FM development doesn't even get a mention as far as I can see, I'm a bit surprised there's no mention of the outcome of their exclusivity talks even if they came to nothing in the end: irs.nbtrader.co.uk/ir/conygar/newsArticle.php?id=31142822905125901&ST=CICI think it's safe to assume the FM development must now be dead and Sam Frost probably talked a lot of nonsense suggesting otherwise earlier in the year.

Don't blame Sam Frost or the Bristol Post, they were only carrying out orders.

This thread is seriously stuck on repeat. Every 5 new pages are basically saying the same thing as the 5 pages before it, which are echoing the previous 5 pages and on and on this thread goes in circles

Don't blame Sam Frost or the Bristol Post, they were only carrying out orders. It would not surprise me , they have form for this but under Higgs and got rid of 2 rovers supporting writers plus they were sacked from writing in the programme. I won’t name but it was an awful time. That was ages ago though so I’d be shocked too as so much has changed

I know I bang on about this but it was dead two years ago, it just suited people at the club not put it to bed for good

I don't feel that JB would be making statements about trying to be the first bristol team in the premier league if he didnt have faith we would have a stadium up to standard. As thats not just getting league one promotion thats not just staying up in the championship. Its getting promoted . Thats a massive distance from a league two club in a 1980s stadium. Where we were last season.
Something is happening , we just dont know where ,when and how !

I know I bang on about this but it was dead two years ago, it just suited people at the club not put it to bed for good Suited people at the Club? Care to expand on that? I think if the club had said it was dead in the water when it was two years ago it would have quite a demoralising effect. When I knew it was not happening it certainly effected my views. Better to let it drift on as a possible rather than bring the issue to a head when the owner didn't feel he was in a financial position to make the next move
