I was thinking more towards the overall effect Mcelhenney and Reynolds have had on the club and community, pretty sure I read somewhere that the Mem footprint is the same of Goodison Park. If we could have additional investment to make it happen I still think that Mem design we had with Opal (below) was the way forward, yes its a limited design, always thought given the density of Horfield and location a hotel would be very well utilised, not to mention match day weekend deals but cricket matches stay over for summer county and internationals. Conference facilities, anyway de ja vu is back! As for that lot at the Racecourse, they are driven, have a plan and created a much greater audience for the club, albeit those who call it saccer. Really enjoyed watching the documentary on them, more so the fans and what Wrexham means to them and how it affects lives and families, no different to us and our stories of course. Would love to see a documentary about Gasheads lives at the Mem and at home telling their stories, what brings us all together. The recent interview with Adam Tutton and Maggsy was something I would imagine most Gasheads would enjoy watching and other things like it. It gives the fans a chance to feel more of a connection to the club, if they cant get to the Mem for whatever reason. Similarly, for fans who attend games they get a closer understanding of how the football club is run. Babbling dream talk over View Attachment I do like that design, compact very Loftus Road-esque If I remember correctly the capacity would of been 18k, which would be great for now, but again if I remember correctly there was no room for expansion, so if we did ever get to The Premier League we wouldn't be able to increase capacity. Most new builds now all have planned room for expansion. Brightons a perfect example when The Amex Stadium was built the capacity was the same as what was planned for the UWE Stadium. They've now expanded it to 32k. That's what we should be looking to do. If it was possible to revamp The Mem to a 30k+ stadium, then brilliant. It just wont be possible. It might look nice, but I prefer going to the Mem!

I enjoy the trip to The Mem, location wise can't really beat it, a plethora of pubs, from Stokes Croft onwards really, bars, cafe's, restaurants, Chippy's, can't really ask for more in that respect. And the Football now is the best it's been from a Rovers side for a long time. I can't say I enjoy The Mem once I'm inside though, especially in these windy, wet and cold winter months. I would love to stay at a revamped, renovated, bigger, better Mem. It's not gonna happen though.

I don't see why it wouldn't be mentioned in any plans for temple meads. Everyone already knows about the possibility and the council weren't shy telling us all about the proposed arena next to templemeads. I would take it the Fruit Market is dead as an idea.
The question is what next. Current situation un-sustainable. Mem redevelopment ruled out and no obvious other locations or finance for a new stadium. We have to face it we are as far away as ever from sorting out the stadium. Begining to think I won't see a new stadium in my lifetime.

An 18k stadium would do us just fine now and forever in my opinion. The other lot have had the facilities and financial backing for years now and are further away from the Premiership than ever. We could very easily be a championship club and build regular gates up to 15-18k with a few successful seasons in a decent stadium. Anything beyond that is likely to be temporary at best! I'm sure that there are some on here who think this is lack of ambition but if we're waiting for the opportunity to build a 30k stadium we might as well admit that it's nothing more than fantasy. We wouldn't be building a 30k stadium. A 20,000 all seater but with scope to expand it to 30k+ if needed. Could expand it within 3 years if you get to the Premier League and stay there like Brighton have done. Or it could stay 20k for 10,15,20 years if you don't really improve like MK Dons. The last thing you want is a stadium like MK Dons. The atmosphere is awful. I'm a bit old fashioned and much prefer four stands and no corners. The stand can then be a lot closer to the pitch.

Brentford have done this well

I’ve gone all in on Rovers .

What are the chances of Ashley down station opening when we eventually leave the mem.

I’ve got a feeling we’re going to get an official update soon from the club, the silence is bizarre considering it’s in the public eye of a potential stadium site in the plans.

Too many drink away from the Mem as it is. I used to go in the Bar at the ground 20 years ago and it was pretty good. Went there for the first time last season and after taking over 20 mins to get served and then in a plastic container will not be venturing in there any time soon.

It was probably busy by the time you turned up and plastic glasses are the norm in the Ground. Things have changed in the last 20 years.

To be quite honest it feels how it has always felt. No news is bad news and news is bad news. I need the brighter nights to cheer me up a bit 🤣
