When I spoke to TG a few years back about a new stadium he said the club could get one built in two years , that was never going to happen. With no news of a site for the fruity market to locate too, no consultation or outline planning submitted for a new FM site, and no consultations, outline planning or the next stage detailed planning for the FM site or a stadium, even if the process started tomorrow it would be a minimum 6- 7 years before we would in a new stadium on that site. So I get the feeling that some at the club don't know as much about building development as people might think they do. Even the tents were being put up before proper permission was obtained .

A Billionaire philanthropist south of the river couldn’t achieve what we are trying to do in our City. Money no object. Eventually we will have to start a modest redevelopment of the Mem, and just make it work. I’m ok with that.

Failing that, how about Horfield Common.

Even though 3 different owners, Dunford, Higgs and Wael suggested redeveloping the Mem wasn't viable, and that was even before BCC became anti car.

Not in 2017 he didn't as Wael said: “There were two planning permissions in the past for building and regenerating the Mem, it’s always been our fall-back plan." But most recently in the Gascast interview Gorringe said Mem redevelopment: "Not commercially viable, not operationally viable and a non-starter from day one" Hmmm 🤔

Al-Qadi told BBC Points West.
"If you look at it's size (of the land at the Memorial Stadium), it's kind of ideal. Our size is exactly the same as Everton's stadium. It's a beautiful piece of land, in the heart-bed of Rovers fans."

It’s as big as fat Dave’s who hangs out at the chippy , it’s a beautiful thing and it’s local “.

Higgs said I’m going to turn the Mem into the Wembley of the West. 40 thousand all seater indoor stadium with parking for 10,000 cars and a Monorail station.
That’s the last time I have LSD and a cheese sandwich before bedtime.
