He has represented our country with distinction , but suffered that awful demon of depression, it can hit anyone, which I have and I’m sure others have here to and have seen people I know affected and kill themselves. Indeed he did. I and others I know have suffered with depression. It was a joke of poor taste, that is all. [br Fair enough! My mouth shoots off some times, at least you have the grace. Anyway the joke from South Bristol is giving!

Very strong side, arguably stronger than Saturday. Intrigued how the front 2 get on together. Smith looked promising in his debut and I could imagine them complimenting each other. Going for a routine win with that team. Boom! Hi JCH, I like your hair. Hey Smithy, you've got nice boots on.

Just had to respond once again about comments made on this thread ,it was a competive performance by the Gas tonight but it ends up in a pathetic personal attacks, sorry gentlemen but grow up or start a thread where you can slag each other off to your hearts content, ppl ask why I don’t come on here very much? This is the main reason.

It's all about the context. Was it in poor taste?, yes. Was it offensive? Possibly. Was there any malice intended? No. City fans moaning? Boo hoo. The same fans who create stickers about Darrell Clarke w*nking off dogs?

How’s Kilgour playing?, id play this same team Saturday and maybe put on Craig for kilgour unless he seems good today... Don’t get too excited but get innn JCH! First time I've really seen him & very impressed won most things in the air comfortable on the ball and quicker than I thought. Obviously bigger tests than Cheltenham to come but Varney has been around a long time & scored his fair share of goals, Kilgour & Davies didn't give him a sniff tonight. Hare looks a good prospect as well. I'm certainly a lot more confident for the season than I was after Sat, tonight proved we can be dangerous going forward, still concerned we're so narrow but a lot more encouraging.

Now now boys, there are quite a few Somerset supporting Gas - me included. Tres was just giving out a bit of light hearted banter - let's show we can take it in the spirit intended. Well done Gas tonight, a well needed win and hopefully a lot of confidence can be taken from it into the league games coming up. Hope the FFSC boys had a good time too. Regardless of if you support Somerset or not, the bloke is clearly a c u next Tuesday. Not at all. He's actually a top bloke. So his choice of football team is poor...so what.

I apologise if any offence was caused, no malice intended whatsoever.
City fans getting on their high horse and taking the moral high ground though? Give it a rest.

Bloke made a poor error of judgement. Give him a rest. City fans will take the moral high ground to make themselves feel better after losing.

I was going to say that. Indeed, don't be too hard on TrescoTHICK, he might want to kill himself again. Disgusting comment. Mods please ban this scumbag! If we banned sh** jokes we wouldn't have anyone left on here. Disgusting is a matter of opinion. Mental health is a very serious subject, of course, but that doesn't mean you can't make jokes about it. If you thought the joke was in poor taste, then fair enough. But we can't ban people for their taste in jokes.

Hi to the City fans on here reading this thread. Hope you enjoyed the game tonight No doubt One Team in Bedminster has jumped on Gastafari very distasteful joke to tarnish us all with the same brush and to deflect the fact they’re boys took another loss from a winning position. What better way than to hide their own frustrations with their own team by getting hyped up on the dustbin thread. One terrible ‘joke’ on a forum - blue scum, terrible club War memorial gets defaced - don’t let one idiot reflect our fan base.

Joke in poor taste. Yep. But Gastafari is to my memory usually a decent contributor to this forum, thoughts on a certain missed penalty aside . Can we get back to chatting about the game we played this evening?

He was good, hard to tell how good because Cheltenham weren’t good , at all , but he looked taller , quicker and a better passer of the ball than big Tone tonight.

One thing I found interesting tonight was Johnno losing his patience with the defence for not pushing the ball forward quickly enough and dropping back into midfield to try and retrieve it, only for Tom Davies to calmly tell him to get back up top.

Settled Down 2nd half and played a bit more positively finally. Far from a convincing performance again given the oppo. Do really like the look of Davies. A tall, commanding and vocal C.B. Something lacking in defence probably since Chuffing brilliant.
