Oh and in regards to Gastafari’s post , I’ve suffered with OCD related anxiety all my life and I can tell you all something for nothing , if it wasn’t for my friends and family taking the water out of my issues and making light of the illness , I’d dread to think where I’d be right now. Just back and haven’t read thread. FWIW we played ok, not special but ok. First time for me this season and after a slow start we dominated Cheltenham who weren’t very good so we should have won by more. Thought the defence played very well and the CHs looked comfortable on the ball, esp Kilgour. I was impressed by Hare but thought he lacked confidence which grew in the second half. Leahy better going forward than defending but he does have a sweet left foot and used well it will make us a better team. Difficult to judge because the opposition were poor but our defence dealt with everything comfortably and they are all tall, strong and should get better. Bennett buzzed around but again his final ball wasn’t so good. Midfield got better as the match went on probably feeling more confident and I wish Ollie C would try more of those forward passes inside the defenders for our strikers to run onto. When he did it it worked really well and made the second. Liam S just didn’t influence the game at all, had a few nice touches but he just seems lacking at the moment.
But our strikers looked good and Smith and Jonno worked really well together and given time that could be a handful for teams this season. Smith was rightly mom for his goals and setting up Jonno for his. And Tom N and Victor when they came on looked good as well.
Best not to be over confident but the team, once ahead, looked so much better and played with a bit more freedom but Cheltenham were poor and we’re not going to meet many worse teams this season, but a wins a win.

Blimey, GCs cup record isn’t bad at all, after his Checkatrade run last year he’s off the mark already. And poor old DC he still can’t buy a cup win!

Agree. All’s good tonight. Somerset are on a roll, Gloucestershire won, Rovers won, the s*** lost. Marcus T is a top man as are all Somerset players. 😉

I’ve planned my own suicide twice and thankfully didn’t follow through either time. Gastafari’s comment is disgusting. But any City fans trying to use this as a “one up” to make our fanbase look bad are using depression and suicide for their agenda and that’s also disgusting. And yes anyone who quotes me on Otib, i’d say exactly the same if it was the other way round.

Yeah it worked for me but I didn't watch it. Usually I watch at home on the TV, but last night I was out so turned it on every 15 minuets to check the score.

I screen shotted it on mobile at the time and it's a black screen. I guess they have something on there that stops you doing it.

Either way, definitely was working. Not sure if other people from abroad could also watch it? Dr Gas@qatargas ?

I thought Alfie Kilgour booked his place in the first team last night. Exceptionally strong in the air and very good distribution. His Cryuff turn to get out of trouble was also impressive. Accepting we'll play better opposition, I would go with Kilgour and Davies as our centre back pairing.

Two goals and a very unselfish assist from Tyler Smith - a very positive performance.

Kyle Bennett was also a stand out and I thought Liam Sercombe was much better last night.

Overall a massively promising performance.

Now hold on there a moment Gassy. I know 'artcliffe is the back of beyond to many people but contrary to popular opinion, one does not need a passport to visit us. It is free for anyone to come to engage in purposeful conversation with the surprisingly large amount of Rovers supporters or to take a safari around the lairs of those that float.

I was able to see the highlights on Sky but they were all bunched under one URL, so I was not able to download them to upload to here. I do not know if this will be the way of things this season, as I have not bothered trying to download either of the league games because we did not win. Hopefully, I will find out on Saturday.
