Good performance last night with some young players getting a real confidence boost. The midfield diamond looked better balanced with bennett in for upson.Tyler smith scored 2 pure poachers goals which made a nice change. Agree!

Saturday’s line up should be unchanged barring any knocks or niggles. Though I fear it’ll be 2/3 changes. Hare, Kilgour & Bennett all must start, in my opinion. Who would you start Kilgour over (from last league game)? Craig? Or change of system to fit them all in? I’d keep the exact same XI, plenty of football coming up in the next four weeks & Young Kilgour must be brimming with confidence after last night. Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge Tony Craig fan, but I see Alfie as the future and another game straight off the back of such a commanding performance will do his experience the world of good.

I can never make my mind up whether 3-5-2 is a defensive or attacking option. I guess it depends on the people that you put in each position at the end of the day. My opinion at the moment is that our current squad probably lends itself to 3-5-2 more than any other formation because we seem to have two full backs who are more effective in the attacking third and therefore more suited to the role of WB and providing the width that way. In addition, it gives GC the option of playing two defensive midfielders with one, more offensive CM, linking the play in behind the two strikers.
I am not sure that we are going to be an entertaining side to watch unless we play two out and out strikers, so IMO I do not like the 4-3-3 formation.

Saturday Will be a huge test for our defence and no way would I leave Craig out against the Likes of Godden and Hiwala… Could be a justifiable case in playing all three of our CBs, with Ogogo, again protecting the defence. We will be looking to break quickly and I'm hoping we start with Tyler and JCH up front. Expecting GC to try and keep it tight and then introduce Bennett and Victor at about 70minutes.

Cheltenham had just scored 4 against Div 4 opposition. No big deal.
