Staying away won't do the team any good. Mind you, I can see the appeal of staying home with a take away and a few tinnies. going doesn’t either! Vocally it does. |

The atmosphere will be quiet again and I can’t see that changing for a while...Cogs sounded dejected in interview and basically said we’ll be lucky to get any more players in...
Sercs won’t be in the line up and GC will play a defensive line up again...
Shame as I was hoping for a great atmosphere and payne to get so much sh** off us but the way everyone seems to be so low they probably can’t be arsed

Watched last Saturday and have refrained from commenting so far, but what about Tomlinson? GC sits him on the bench and doesn't use what is obviously a very talented player. In the pre-season games I saw him in he looked very useful. A little lightweight maybe, but against Swansea the defenders were hauling him down because they couldn't handle him. He doesn't lose the ball as much as Bennett and can beat a player easier than him. Got to play a 3-5-2 with Davies, Kilgour and Craig. As for the Full/Wingbacks, I'm afraid we have to live with what we've got until Little/THD come back. Midfield is a mystery? We can't play Ogogo and Upson together, so it will have to be one of those + Sercombe, or Clarke. In my opinion Ollie Clarke hasn't performed for about a year and he's only in the side because we don't have anything else and I'm not even mentioning the fact that he's captain. Sercs looked a little better on Saturday, until he went off, but I can't see GC dropping OC......Unfortunately! I would persevere with JCH and TS up front, although it is obvious JCH is nowhere near match fit. However, I live in the hope that we'll get in that creative midfield player and 'proper' wide man with pace we need this week. UTG

Assuming Rodman and Sercombe are both out our options are going to be pretty limited.
With that in mind I'd probably go:

-------Davies-----Kilgour-----Craig----------
Hare------------------------------------Kelly
------------Clarke-------Ogogo---------------
----Adeboyejo-------Smith---------JCH--------
We're not good enough to play through midfield so we might as well stick 3 up top and go direct. At least it might give us a better chance of holding the ball up.
Ogogo and Clarke are battlers so can cope in the middle with support from Hare and Kelly when we attack.

Don't understand why Deon Moore doesn't get a look -in.Has a presence on the ball and can't score less than Nichols.GC clearly doesn't share my optimism.

Just listened to the GC interview. Talked a lot but said nothing. Looked rather vague & sounded dejected. Don't think we'll be getting anymore players in either. I really don't think he knows what to do anymore. Don't think he is getting much support from the club either. It seems to me our only way out this season is if a takeover takes place otherwise we're screwed.

Not sure what we should do tomorrow night but whoever plays needs to up their game Are rodman and Sercs injured? If so I’d also go 3-5-2 but with Jaaks Craig Kilgore Davies Kelly Ogogogogogogogogo on my son Tomlinson Clarke Hare Adeboyajo (or however you spell it) JCH With no wingers we look narrow again and without THD and Little no obvious wing backs so our hands are tied. Please Hani put your hands in your pockets and get us a winger and a creative midfielder or else this club is headed back to Lg 2. |

One of the worst pre match interviews I’ve heard. Talking himself out of a job. Already telling us it won’t be pretty and we need to roll our sleeves up. Why Don’t we try and play short sharp passes around physical teams like this ? Last thing there gonna wanna do is chasing the ball all evening. Makes no sense whatsoever to play to the oppositions strengths. Absolute basics
