How do we think the snake will celebrate if we score? Remember his classless handshake celebration with Lee Brown vs Oxford?
Oxford United manager Michael Appleton is still riled about Matty Taylor's goal celebration when Bristol Rovers beat the U's at the Memorial Stadium last August.
Appleton revealed in July he had a 'gentleman's agreement' to sign top summer transfer target Taylor, who reneged and signed a new contract with the Pirates' before scoring the winner in a 2-1 victory when the two sides met just weeks later.
In a response to chanting from the Oxford fans, the then-Rovers striker celebrated by shaking hands with teammate Lee Brown, later revealing he "wanted to score a goal to shove it down their throats."
Appleton admitted he didn't see the celebration at the time, but vowed his post-match press briefing would have been of a different nature if he had.
Oxford United boss Michael Appleton.
"If I had seen it, my press conference would have been very different after the game," he told the Oxford Mail.
"I have an opinion of him at the minute which I won't go into – it was a raised eyebrow when the switch happened."
Taylor's winner against the U's was one of 19 goals he scored before a controversial January Deadline Day move across to bitter rivals Bristol City.
He has netted two goals for the Robins so far.

Advice to Gas eds, don't give him stick until the end ,just turn your backs to him when he appears , to much stick and he is bound to score ,the villain always does! wait till the end or till we are 3-0 up and out of sight!!

He will be begging to play in this one. Begging. Just the type of character he appears to be. No moral fibre whatsoever.

If Matt Taylor was a Championship player Lickle Lee would have had him in the squad and played him more often so it proves the point they only bought him to halt our progress and take the spotlight off of LJ and fair play to em it worked!!

Nonsense. This just makes us look like the victim all the time. He was a top striker in the league below and, whilst he didn't exactly set the Championship alight he did ok and contributed to a number of important goals for them. It was a justifiable signing from City's point of view. £300k was hardly a gamble for them and he was available.

I'd hope he doesn't run behind the goal giving it the cupped ear or the shush but he's a footballer paid to score goals.

But we shouldn't be more afraid of him than we were say, Lyle Taylor or Will Grigg last season. Let him play...and let him go back to Oxford with no points.

Not so much that I just think it's just a little bit to soon, not that there will ever be a good time. Especially at a time when we are remembering a true rovers legend.

Especially at a time when we are remembering a true rovers legend. I do get that, but I think the responsibility is on us as Rovers fans to mark Junior's passing and to not go over the top with our reaction to Taylor. He's going to be booed and given the chants, but as long as it doesn't go beyond that then no harm done I suppose.
