He is, I agree. But we shouldn't be more afraid of him than we were say, Lyle Taylor or Will Grigg last season. Let him play...and let him go back to Oxford with no points. Oxford will be a weaker side without him I'm sure, so I'd rather he didn't play. Well are they? they got four points without him and none so far with him, no doubt we will find out Saturday.

Really looking forward to Saturday, i going to ignore Taylor and get behind the boys, the best way to show taylor and shut up any interested teds is to win. Lets give Junior our respect and then get right behind the boys. Three points are what we want, Taylors just a side show.

After his, let's say unusual comments about the handball law, good to see Ollie talking sense in his Evening Post column today when addressing the issue of abuse of players.
Bang on the money this time for me.
(sorry, posting a link is way outside of my IT capabilities!).

Today: Cyber security, really Ollie? Also 'Any Bristol Rovers fan who insults Matty Taylor insults me too', in that case, he's a f**king idiot. The idea that we shouldn't insult a footballer as he runs around on the pitch for the opposing side, is Dam idiotic.

The stuff that's been going on against Paul Pogba and othets has been horrible and reading this forum alone makes it clear that there's a chance that Matty Taylor will escalate into the unacceptable too. Chants of '$hithead' are one thing, but it's not difficult to think that it could get much, much worse. I for one hope it doesn't. Ollie also makes the point that we should celebrate what he achieved for us. Spot on. 60 odd goals in 120 or so games. We would love to have a player like that now, or in any era for that matter.

I expect Taylor could not give a sh** about what the crowd does

Holloway has lost the plot, his once amusing off the cuff down to earth remarks made him popular. But I think hes trying to maintain his status and attempting to be serious but doesn't know what hes on about. If he was on the terrace he would give taylor as much grief as anybody else. Taylor strikes me as the sort of guy who will enjoy the attention, he deserves all the verbal hes going to get, he knew what would happen when he moved, he weighed it up and made the decision.

Why all the talk about Sh!theads coming to the game? That would presume they were buying tickets even before the game was announced “All Ticket”. Very strange. I wouldn’t mind a £ for every time I’ve heard the Sh!t are coming up Gloucester Road, they’re doing this, they’re doing that blah blah blah. They don’t travel North of the river!! Matty Who?

Haha "I feel so strongly about the threat of Matty Taylor being abused at the Memorial Stadium tomorrow that I will say now that anyone who insults him is insulting me too. That is not how true Rovers fans behave"
I don't think I will lose any sleep over that Olly - obviously been away from Bristol for too long. Perfect match for Bristol Post though, totally clueless!

I expect Taylor could not give a sh** about what the crowd does True, he could have held off signing on loan until after this game if he was worried. I think he will revel in the attention cos that's the type of person he seems to be.

If Matt Taylor was a Championship player Lickle Lee would have had him in the squad and played him more often so it proves the point they only bought him to halt our progress and take the spotlight off of LJ and fair play to em it worked!! Nonsense. This just makes us look like the victim all the time. He was a top striker in the league below and, whilst he didn't exactly set the Championship alight he did ok and contributed to a number of important goals for them. It was a justifiable signing from City's point of view. £300k was hardly a gamble for them and he was available. I think it was a bit of both. It stopped us scoring so many goals and they got a decent squad player for a bargain price.

Would love DC to tell us his opinions on that, he obviously knew something was 'off' about it.

Rovers to win 1-0 (MT own goal) Seriously Saturday should be about respect for Junior and not about abusing another ex player
