Great battle in the 2nd half and a very honest performance. Must admit i thought they ripped us to pieces attacking on their left side and that hare and davies struggled. They did. It was no surprise, that was where their second goal came from.

As Rovers looked to follow up, the Seagull’s goalie came for a high ball, flapped, but was awarded a free-kick. The home players felt they had not sufficiently pushed the Button,

First game of the season for me.
We have a squad that looks fit and all in it together.
Thought the back three were excellent. Midfield broke up play well and JCH puts fear in our opponents! And that goal from TN!

Wow, Well done GC. Three weeks ago after Blackpool it was GC out. What we have is a team that can defend for the first time in 10 years.

To be fair, their two players on that side were stupidly quick Yes and they seemed to be able to get an overload of players on that flank. They were targeting that all game, it's the major drawback of playing with wingbacks. Poor Tom Davies was knackered from covering on that side, he did a hell of a job.

I assume Bernardo and Jakenbakhsh. Both rapid and far too tricky for poor ol' Hare and Davies but good test for the lads.

Yes and they seemed to be able to get an overload of players on that flank. They were targeting that all game, it's the major drawback of playing with wingbacks. Poor Tom Davies was knackered from covering on that side, he did a hell of a job. It happened especially when we switched to 3-4-1-2 as the midfield was a bit narrower. You could see GC making the wing backs push onto their full backs so Alfie and Tom had a hell of a job covering a large amount of space. Fair play to them they did it well.

Thoroughly enjoyed the match, well worth the long journey in traffic. fwiw: Full backs are great attacking threads but the opposition can get behind them and Hare is a better defender than Leahy but I would say an improvement on what we had. 3 CHs were very good and all played very well. I would have made Tom Davies MOM but could understand if Tony C was. Alfie was very good and will learn from losing possession just before their first goal. Keeper got more confident but I was a bit worried for the first 20 minutes or so. Got better after a few good saves. Victor and JCH gave their defence a few worries but we never really got through to their keeper. We looked a very together team with everyone in it together. You could criticise the defence at the end but their left side of midfield, Connolly and ‘Baksh were very skilful and passed precisely so it was no disgrace. For a lad who was in the Confer3nce last season to play so well against a £19m player who played in the PL last season was great for him and the gap yesterday between us and them wasn’t a great one, accepting that they only went into top gear after the equaliser. Not many teams will score many against us and our defence will be the strongest part of our team but neither will we score a hatful any time soon. We’re just not set up to do that. UTG!
ps also Agogo and Upson did well and Upson seems to be getting better and better every time I see him.

Great report yes; i also read the Bristol post reports sometimes as i follow them on twitter.
it brings me an addition of informations to what i read here.
With Kilgour Upson and our forwards performing, this is the time for me to get the next match on ifollow, i guess !
