Just to address some of the discussion that has been going on in this thread. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on these threads and no-one needs any credentials to post. Discussion is encouraged as it is often interesting to hear the reasoning behind a poster's ratings. Also, I fully expect people to have biases towards or against some players. For example, looking over a season it is easy to notice Henbury's love for Nichols and Hugo's disdain of Craig to name just two examples. Part of the great thing about so many more posters this season is the that these individual biases will for the most part average out. The final rating will be akin to a 'wisdom of the crowd' (or Francis Galton's ox) estimate of a player's true performance. And though I love diving into the ratings, they are just a bit of fun and shouldn't be taken too seriously. Well said, and great stats as usual. I am fully looking forward to finding out who my negative bias is against now that Sinclair is gone come the end of the season!

Better have another look at the build up to the penalty and ollie clarke was nowhere near the player who was fouled and had no chance of causing the penalty. Have a look out for the build up. OC shied out of a tackle, centre field on the edge of the centre circle. The player went on past two or three others. I made no mention of him being anywhere near the area, he wasn't. So if the accrington player went past several other rovers players before being fouled why pick on Clarke and not 1 of the others he went past who were closer to the penalty area

OC was right on top of the player when he received the ball and could easily have tackled him. The player accelerated away and beat the others for speed before arriving in the area.Of course others did not help, but things should have not reached that stage if a certain someone had intervened.

Precisely and its because I hate to see bias towards one player and others given a pat on the back for not doing their job. A similar thing happened 3 years ago when ellis was beaten to a long ball from the back and despite the other 9 outfield players being between him and our goal he was blamed. If you are going to apportion blame then ask yourself where our 3 central defenders were and where was the much vaunted agogo. As for being right on top of the player the ball was running loose and the Accrington player got to the ball first and was away. But never mind like the mighty stevek it is much easier to criticise players who have xome through the ranks than those who have been signed on frees from other clubs.
WHat was it last year ? Lockyer shouldn't be captain os even in the side, where is he now? The year before why is Harrison preferred to Gaffney he isn't a patch on him? where are they playing now?
I rest my case
