We don’t look like getting a winner. They do though!

Jeez! we just dropped 5 places - dizzy heights of 8th down to a bottom half 13th!

So undeserved Jaakola should have done better - you can’t parry it there That’s a poor one to concede. Everything from the cross completely unchallenged by Sercombe to Little giving their guy the freedom of Filton. The parry from Jakks isn’t great either. Disappointing

Disappointing No guesses needed as to why Little or Sercombe aren’t in the first team

Tbh, I feel Gillingham are very fortunate to come away with a point.
We were much the better team for most of that game and should have made it 2/3-0 before they even had their first chance of the game, which ultimately ended in a goal

Draw probably a fair result in the end. Didn’t play bad but we weren’t at our best, defensive lapse allowed Gillingham back into the game and we didn’t look like doing anything after that. Frustrating as it feels like 2 points have been dropped but we need to be doing better and seeing out games like that.

Not the end of the world after winning at Lincoln but our finishing same as Saturday is awful, and you can usually guarantee one defensive cock up each match. Utg

No doubt they were the more likely to score at the end but ultimately the last 10 minutes doesn’t warrant a draw when we were the better team for 75% of the game IMO Really should have finished them off at 1-0

Things I learnt tonight ...
1. Our keeper is a good shot stopper but continually pushes the ball out straight instead of away from danger.
2. Our defensive three are very decent.
3. Leahy ... not for me ! Sorry but he is a weak link.
4. Midfield is getting better but our Captain is the weakest link.
5. JCH not match fit yet ... Victor doesn’t make the most of his opportunity, Tyler a good foil for JCH.
6. Mark Little not back to full fitness yet .. please God Josh isn’t too badly injured.
7. Sercombe is very lightweight and adds little.
Two points dropped at home again and the game was pretty poor, once again the away side pretty much controlled the second half....
Game was there for the taking but we aren’t quite good enough to take it...

We’re getting better. Tonight was entertaining. Darrell Clarke used to say we were a nearly side and we were nowhere near it. We are now a nearly team and we’re not too reliant on JCH. We’re looking up rather than down now but I think we’ll fall just short this season.

This has been coming.... Sercombe just watched as the guy crossed the ball .., We will be hanging on for a draw here ! Yes. Was watching Sercombe closely, who when he came in was really up for it and in for every tackle, than gradually started standing off.... and that was the result

Not to disappointed with that, always seemed we needed that second to clinch it but did not really look like getting it, 6/10 performance and nice little run developing, long may it continue!!

Their substitutions worked for them. They plugged the holes we were finding in the first half. Our subs were off the pace. Their goal came from mistakes by both Sercombe and Little. I hope the injury to Hare isn’t as bad as it looked

Another 2 home points dropped, that otherwise would've seen us in the top 2! So that much is disappointing, add into this the injuries to our skipper and the excellent Josh Hare. I feel these two losses will be a blow to our set up.
Taking the positives though, our performances are well on the up, still unbeaten at home & league position aside are still 2 points off of the top 6. We visit the still winless Wombles on Saturday. I will not be surprised to see GC go back to the Away day diamond, there is no room for wingbacks on that matchbox pitch in Kingston Town.
Onwards and upwards.
