It’ll be forgotten amongst the 3 goals but Jakkola’s two point blank ‘worldie’ saves at 1-1, kept us in the contest. The first, a fingertip save onto the post when the entire home ends were already celebrating, were unbelievable. Yes agree... we are starting to see Jak settle now... Tuesday night was interesting as I thought Tyler Smith was an Upgrade on Jakubiak ... and now our keeper and Tom Davies are showing how good they are, maybe not yet upgrades but very good replacements. Both will get even better as the season progresses I think. Not knocking Bonham but if Jakkola can keep up at least the form he's showing at the moment I think he is an upgrade in Bonham, not really sure how we signed an international (reserve) goalie TBH, he could well be in the running for the League one team of the season come May. As far as Davies it could be his no messing about still suits League one more than Locks. Just need to keep JCH now and get Nichols or Smith, or even both, scoring regularly. Plus explain to Little that he needs to be playing games regularly not one in 3 or 4. Good to see Rodders step up to plate and play RWB today.

Good game that. Thought we should have taken the lead just before their goal, but for some great defending. Wimbledon hit us on the counter attack which was worked really well - no one to blame, just a good attack and a sublime shot to finish it off. So fair enough there.
We pulled a deserved goal back from a great cross and lovely finish for Ogogo’s first goal with us. Delighted for him as I think he’s been excellent the last few games. Had to turn it off after that as was having lunch with the gf’s parents.
Back into the 2nd half I thought we started well before Wimbledon coming from nowhere and forcing Jaakola into 2 superb saves, especially the first one. Make no doubt, without Jaakola we would be coming Homs empty handed.
Wimbledon fans will say it’s a foul on the GK, honestly I can’t tell either way as I was watching on my phone on iFollow. I said immediately it’s crap goalkeeping and one both teams will say the ref should be in their favour. However, without doubt they should have been down to 9 men so they really can’t complain. JCH was one-in-one running to the GK before being pulled back, that’s a straight red. No doubt. He was last man, if that isn’t denying a goal scoring chance then I don’t know what is ffs. Ironically they had a 2nd yellow straight after the freekick for a foul on JCH again. It was the correct decision, Wimbledon should have been down to 9.
The final goal was a great cross & perfect free header for Tony Craig. Good stuff. Shout out to Kelly as well for the superb cross to JCH for the 2nd goal.
At the time I thought GCs subs were strange and it looked as though we picked an injury up immediately after each one and I was really thinking how unlucky can he be? He changes formation and now that player is injured. But he adapts perfectly as we saw out a great 3 points.
Well done GC & all involved. Nice to look up! I get the feeling this will be a season of missed chances, already after 10 games we could be 3rd if we didn’t concede goals at the end of games. We are far from the final product but the product is getting better and better.
I’m back in the UK next week, booked my tickets for Rotherham about 3 weeks ago. Can’t wait now, UTG

Don't know if it's been mentioned but all our goals were headers today - long live GC's Guardiola style of play 2nd time we've come back from 1 nil down to win 3 -1. Looks like we've got more goals in us this season. On another note - totally totally gutted about Josh Hare's ACL injury - hope he's back before the seasons out. Looks a real prospect for L1 or better.

I see Peterborough lost another game today, can remember a lot on here drool over their big money signings whilst we quietly went about our business and look who has had the better start! A lot of noise from them before the season, very little substance in it so far it seems as per usual.

Great win today, well deserved. Defence was very good and is building into a very good unit and our midfield is getting better and JCH and Nichols make a good partnership (But so does Smith and JCH). I know people say JCH will be gone soon but he gives a very good impression of being happy with the team and seems to get on with the others. That makes me think that perhaps he won’t go as soon as some think, esp if he gets a good, new contract. He really is a handfull for defenders. He draws fouls and provides a great target but also has skill to frighten them. Over the past few games GC seems to favour playing Tom N away from home and Smith at the Mem, and it seems to have been working. When their player was sent off it was good to see GC make positive changes and look to win it, a real change from the Accrington match. Well done GC and the team after 10 games, almost a quarter of the season, can start to see some things about this team. Although not the most creative they work hard for the team and GC. To be where we are after 10 matches, well in the top half, is a positive start. Looks very tight in the top half of the table, a bit like the bottom half last season, but that gives more teams a chance to achieve. I don’t think we’ll get to the play offs but lots of teams have underachieved so far. We shouldn't look too far ahead, play the next game and move on. And some fans, looking at their forums, are not very happy. Pompey, Sunderland, Lincoln, Wimbledon (if you can understand that forum!), Rotherham all make Gaschat look like a ray of sunshine. Which is some achievement. Keep it up GC and the team, let’s have another good week. UTG!

Thought Ogogo & Upson were outstanding in the middle today. Upson the best player on the pitch by a mile. Absolutely superb. Thing is, after the summer window shut lots of people were ripping GC for not bringing creativity into the midfield after Lines left but surely Upson is fulfilling that role now and doing a great job of it too. Just hope he stays fit though as he making the midfield tick and not sure we have anyone else who could replace him.

Posh, Pompey, Lincoln, Oxford, Rotherham, MK Dons and even Gillingham with Bonham and Jak. All these were mentioned at some time for their signings. But overall, I suspect that in the year 2019 we made the best signing in this league last January. What a presence JCH has, goals, link up play, draws fouls and free kicks and creates for others. In the end you do need enough good players but you also need to get them to gel and develop a team spirit and so far GC has done that. GC has done well so far with what he has signed, a real shame about Hare, so credit where credit’s due. UTG!

Absolutely, it’s been a bit of a topsy turvy start to League One this year, few would of backed Wycombe, Coventry and Doncaster to do so well whilst Portsmouth and Peterborough struggle and I’m not even going to get into the Bolton/Bury nonsense. Don’t won’t to get ahead at myself at this early stage but genuinely think we could be a dark horse in this campaign. The playoffs certainly aren’t beyond where we should aim to finish it’s just all about consistency. There hasn’t been a team that we haven’t been able to compete with so far this year which to me is a really positive sign. Read somewhere the other day that JCH is the most fouled player in the league. This makes quite a big difference for us as it allows us to win free kicks high up the pitch which takes the pressure of the defence. Fantastic signing who with his goals have made a massive impact in the last season and in this.

The most refreshing thing for me under GC is just how solid and more streetwise we seem. We more often than not will compete even in defeat. Do feel for him a bit listening to his post match interview today, saying "I might not be everyones cup of tea". Obviously aware of the falling attendances and that he may be a part of why they have dropped. It's good to see that if we go behind we have the resilience to come back into a game unlike last season when our heads went down and we seemed to give up. I know we're not playing scincilating football under GC at the moment but it's so much better than what we had to watch last season. We've got a decent squad imo and were scoring goals and getting results, what's not to like?! We've also still got THD who may come back into things at some point. If we can keep the momentum going the players will hopeful get more confidence and play with more freedom which might lead to better quality football. I like GC, I think he's an excellent man manager and he's building team spirit and a winning mentality with this squad, you can see that they really care and want to work hard for GC and each other. I'm thankful for what we've got as it could be a lot worse and hoping for better going forward. UTG! Yes Yes Yes What he said ^

Fair play to Ainsworth at Wycsum who, like GC, seems to know how to play to his squads strengths.

A very good win that was.
We now have a decent (permanent keeper) who is good at this level. Sometimes a lot people expect more from the keepers, but we have a good one for this level. He made two great saves yesterday when it was 1-1.
Upson and Ogogo brilliant again. Upson a completely different player to last season but maybe the formation is helping him as he gets a lot more protection so he can get forward. Made some lovely turns on the ball yesterday when under pressure before passing it rather than hitting first time long balls.
I hope Sercombe can find a bit of form again as this formation allows him to play in a more natural position.
Great to see GC go for it rather than making like of like changes. However, if it had backfired, many people would have been calling him tactically inept again!

Didn't go yesterday - was Rodman playing wing back in that formation ?
