Well done Blue Boys ... Great away win ! This thread has seen the usual Suspects writing the team off again ..nice to see us putting 10 Men away for once. Well done GC on a positive substitution to chase the game ... onwards and upwards! But I thought GC was too defensively minded to do such a thing.....must be getting confused in my old age....🤔 Yes agree MB ... Delighted to see him go for it today ... I think he is getting the hang of this Management lark.

The most refreshing thing for me under GC is just how solid and more streetwise we seem. We more often than not will compete even in defeat.
Do feel for him a bit listening to his post match interview today, saying "I might not be everyones cup of tea". Obviously aware of the falling attendances and that he may be a part of why they have dropped.

Read somewhere that Wimbledon haven't won in 12 matches. Fancy us to win though, 3-1. Um, boom ? Is that the expression ?

It’ll be forgotten amongst the 3 goals but Jakkola’s two point blank ‘worldie’ saves at 1-1, kept us in the contest.
The first, a fingertip save onto the post when the entire home ends were already celebrating, were unbelievable.
Edit: I was certain he palmed it onto a post, turned out to be an even better save than I thought. A Strong hand down low, pushing the ball away from danger. It’s a shame the second one wasn’t included, hopefully Rovers can somehow show it in our own highlights package.

Tuesday night was interesting as I thought Tyler Smith was an Upgrade on Jakubiak ... and now our keeper and Tom Davies are showing how good they are, maybe not yet upgrades but very good replacements. Both will get even better as the season progresses I think.

Is it a red then, confusing this.... Ref failed to give a blatant red for last man foul but gave a red a minute later (2nd yellow). This game will finish 1-1 now IMO. BUMP! - keep the predictions coming - nice 3 points.

Early days but a decent start to the season with a couple of home games to come. Remember this club has had its heart and soul ripped out, yet we are in front of Portsmouth and Sunderland, just keep plugging away

Obviously aware of the falling attendances and that he may be a part of why they have dropped. It's good to see that if we go behind we have the resilience to come back into a game unlike last season when our heads went down and we seemed to give up. I know we're not playing scincilating football under GC at the moment but it's so much better than what we had to watch last season. We've got a decent squad imo and were scoring goals and getting results, what's not to like?! We've also still got THD who may come back into things at some point. If we can keep the momentum going the players will hopeful get more confidence and play with more freedom which might lead to better quality football. I like GC, I think he's an excellent man manager and he's building team spirit and a winning mentality with this squad, you can see that they really care and want to work hard for GC and each other. I'm thankful for what we've got as it could be a lot worse and hoping for better going forward. UTG!

I think if we had a crap manager this squad would be described as crap.GC has got them motivated and playing as a team. Too many changes under DC.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that 2nd goal apart from the keeper being sh*te!
Overheard a ground of Dons fans saying they were robbed by a poor decision ffs

The thing is GC has done nothing wrong for anyone to dislike him..In fact, if I were to grade him since he took over I would say that has to be a 8/10. He is not cocky, he talks no bollocks and doesnt seem to lie to us about anything. He now seems to be the right guy to have taken over from DC.He has the passion and heart that us fans want. The problem is he took over from a hero for this club in DC and also at the same period when the era of "hope" that we had when Wael first took over that we were going to crack on and make some real progress as a FC ended.I have little doubt that our gates would be at least 1k higher than they have been so far if the fans didnt feel so let down by our board and the ground etc.. Im willing to say GC style of play has only taken 500 or so off our gates. And to be fair, we are not playing awlful football. Its limited given the players we dont have. His signings have been very good - almost to the man.And our start to this season is putting the foundations to a very good season indeed. I see no reason why we cant be challenging for a playoff spot come May if we continute this form. And if you put the end of last season run,and the start of this one then we would be around that area.GC is doing a fine job.

Great result today and it shows that the same work rate, same patterns of play and the same desire and passion can provide a vastly different result.
Thought Nichols was excellent today.
Those who are staying away need to come back and support this team. If we carry on the way we are going, provided we keep JCH I reckon we could be play off contenders.

I agree with this , I won’t lie , I am one of those that have (painfully) decided to stop attending recently. Like icegas mentioned in an earlier post , GC hasn’t done anything wrong , he’s just taken over from the best manager that I have witnessed at the gas and with nothing substantial happening off the pitch, after all the hope the al-qadis gave after taking over the club , it was never going to be easy for any manager. After listening to GCs post match interview I now genuinely feel quite bad. I will most certainly give it another go and back the manager and the boys , hopefully others feel the same. UTG !
