Legend is an over used word but not in this case. Absolute LEGEND! This is terrible news, one of only two players in my eyes that a statue would be worthy of, Bradford the other. RIP Big man, condolences to his family.

Rip Stuart. I remember running on the pitch as a young un at the end of games at Eastville, having to jump up to pat Stuart on the back . A true Bristol Rovers Legend.

Sad news. A true blue Rovers legend. Am I correct in saying he made more appearances than any other player for Rovers?

RIP - Club legend, I hope that the club show a big screen tribute in memory on the big man
Watched him play in my youth, and spoke to him many a time while watching the Rovers before his illness.

The first player I really idolised as a kid. I can remember watching him during the warm up before evening games at Eastville- someone would send a long high ball towards him and he would head it what seemed to me miles back up the pitch. I was really struck by the distance he got but then I was about five or six. The other thing to remember was the balls they used then were extremely heavy compared to today, particularly when they were wet.

What a shame RIP. Very sad news.
Not only remember his partnership with Graham Day, I also played at Cadbury Heath when Stuart was manager.

RIP Stuart, there are some frustrated forwards that might finally have gotten out of his pocket today. Towering presence in both boxes and stayed fit season after season. Was in the first Rovers team I ever saw. sad to hear he’s passed on.

Really sad news, Stuart Taylor was a major player for Rovers in my early years of watching Rovers at Eastville.
At least he has found peace. My thoughts and condolences are with the family.
R.I.P Big Man.

Total legend. So many memories of watching him. Never forget when Wrexham beat us to stop our unbeaten run in the promotion season, his quote "Anyone would think they just won the league." RIP big man.
