Another good win and you can't complain at the position in the table. Back 3 are superb and Craig is a class act. Need some bigger forwards in the absence of JCH. Hey we are in the play off places, have a pint on me. UTG

Just got back. FWIW and I haven’t read the thread yet, well played to everyone today. For two small ones up front I thought that both Nichols and Smith did very well esp after the first half hour when all they got were high balls. But they both competed well and Smith esp never stopped running and gave their defenders no rest. Upson was very good apart from a near disastrous loose pass early on which nearly gave a goal away and when he went off they were able to get at the defence and it showed how important he has become for us. Well done Ogogo, he really battled and played very well. Again Leahy and Rodman played their wing back roles pretty well though they weren’t tested to any extent, although Rodman won nearly all his headers which proved quite important. The back three were very good and they have got better and better every time I’ve seen them so far.
Having said all this and congrats to GC and the team, MKD were woeful and only woke up in the last 5 minutes when Upson went off and were able to get at us. But you can only beat what’s in front of you and we did that with a very good performance.

To be fair we've seen out added time very well! That was a nervy 4 minutes... One eye on the score, one eye on the table! Worst case scenario of the teams below us catching up their game in hand puts us at 9th if they all won. A good position all the same for us. Well done team, I'll take another of those next time out! You obviously weren't at the Mem today, as we managed the game confidently, and saw it out without too many nerves. Some of the teams below us will be playing each other, so I doubt we'll drop that far. |

Great win against a poor side, good game management at the end, we created a few chances need to play the ball on the ground for Smith and Nicho, and think they could ease the pain of losing JCH.
Defence were awesome again Davies is a great signing.

UTG But how many chances did we waste with Nichols & Smith upfront, at least two in the first half, Nichols and Ogogo, plus Davies' header just before he scored and then Sercs was unlucky the goalie got a hand to his great shot. Sercs and Upson apparently only have cramp, the latter clearly did, if so, both should be fit for Donny and I assume OC can't be far off being fit. |
