Does someone want to start a separate Walsall thread. Thought this was the Rovers v MK Don's thread. If I want to know how walsall were getting on I'd have a look at general scores or go on the Walsall forum. Just got back from the game and absolutely delighted with that performance.
It was the first time we’ve gone out there without JCH since the first few games of the season when he was injured and I was a bit worried that we would struggle to create chances and score goals as we did without him at that time.
But our defence was solid, MK didn’t seem to have much going forward but everything they had seemed food and drink for our solid back line.
In midfield Ogogo was solid and tenacious throwing himself in to everything that came near him, Upson was calm, collected and assured and is the answer this season to what we missed without lines last season , creativity.
Sercombe was doing his best to be the player he knows and we know he can be even though he’s not there yet, he seemed determined which puts him half way there.
Up front we went with the littlest two but to be fair we kept it more on the deck than usual, which we had to and they created chances and we scored from a corner that resulted from one of those chances.
Great to win without our best striker today and feeling confident that we’ll still pick up enough points this season without JCH to challenge for a top six place.

Hard to understand the extent of the win when in the Bridgwater region but in my humble opinion we did ourselves proud..... Fair play
