van Stappershoef 7 did what he had to well, can't recall him having to make a save Davies 8.5 solid as usual and a goal Craig 8 solid no nonsense defending Kilgour 8 as above, great prospect. Rodman 6 growing into the role, defending still a bit ropey at times Ogogo 6 battling performance Upson 6 ok game Sercombe 6 started slowly but was looking better before injured Leahy 5 not much going forward Nichols 5 Smith 7 thought he did very well today when it's played to his feet Subs: Bennett 6 kept the ball well Hargreaves 6 Adeboyejo 6 Crowd 6 Ref 5 MK 5 some nice approach play but little threat on goal. |

GC said on radio sh!thead that van staps hung his shirt up on peg and said it didn't need cleaning! Fantastic! That summed it up, brilliant defensive display from back and mid, took one of our chances and reduced theirs to hardly anything..... great team performance and replacements were as good if not better than the succeeded. Good stuff, Gas....this is looking very, very decent. Shhhhhhhh....
van Stappershoef 8, two small nothings on top of each other, nothing to do, nothing to worry about.
Davies 9.5, near perfect performance.
Craig 8, he's the linchpin and holding the structure of defence together. Laps up captaincy, surely should retain?
Kilgour 8.5, again almost scored header just over, but blocked and headed out everything in his vicinity.
Rodman 6.5, playing right back, he's good to adjust but must be careful as disaster is waiting. Crossing couldn't get past first defender numerous occasions.
Ogogo 9, he'll keep Clarke our the team as he's an Ollie upgrade. Absolutely everywhere and even got up from 50/50 collision with their Keeps as if it was just a normal day at the office. Great endeavour.
Upson 8, what happened to the failing stuttering performance of last season? Upson played a delightful pass into the box second half, had a decent shot and can help out defences too all in a 19 minute spell before subbed.... metamorphosis?
Sercombe 7, wonderful in mid of mid and blistering shot well saved.
Leahy 8.5, anyone really notice him? Nope! His movement and pace was fantastic because he nullified their right side and put in some useful crosses. On the attack, Luke takes up position of space and is always an outlet, he's an unsung hero that no one expected pre season to be playing such important role he is.
Nichols 5, er why? Where's Anne Robinson when you need her?
Smith 7.5, tried so hard and ran his heart out. What an engine. Still has to learn to stay upwardly mobile, reminds me of Ellis before he matured and zoomed off upwards as a fine striker.
Subs: Bennett 7.5, some useful touches and trying to hold ball up.
Hargreaves 7.5, very interesting cameo. Stormed through (I thought it wasn't a foul on him at the time) their spine to expose their weaknesses and appeared to have the confidence of his teammates to play a bit. Also won an important last few minutes clearance again to earn an induced foul. Confident on the ball.
Adeboyejo 7, looking useful and tried to link with Tyler, I hope he'll start up front with TS more regularly. Potential.
Crowd 6.5, damp, quiet, apart from last 15 mins.
Ref 8.5, can't think of any decisions he got majorly wrong, perhaps some inconsistencies on booking. He did miss some things but I suggest he was let down by his assistants.
MK 5, poor. We should have been out of sight 2 3 4 with better finishing. They offered very little going forward (perhaps because of our dominance in defence) and the Reeves, Boatang, Lewington never got a look in, nor did their half useful in first half #29..
Very good team performance today, credit to GC.... sh*t'82, were coming for you..

van Stappershoef 7 a very able deputy Davies 8,5 M.o.M solid in defence dangerous in attack , a sublime finish that any striker would be proud of. Craig 8 another strong game as usual. Kilgour 8 same as Craig. Rodman 7 did his job well Ogogo 7 covered acres of ground, Upson 7.5 another good game, I hope his injury isnt going to keep him out,he is essential to the midfield. Sercombe 7.5 played well before injury, another who will be missed if he's out for long. Leahy 7 another tidy game, set the goal up, Nichols 6 some nice movement but never looked liked scoring. Smith 6.5 showed good pace ,needs a big man alongside him Subs: Bennett 6 flitted in and out Hargreaves 7 looks a good prospect Adeboyejo 6 Crowd 7 better numbers today, supported the team well Ref 6 ok, seen worse MK 5 poor, a 0-1 flattered them. |

Davies 8 Very good game took his goal well
Craig 8.5 Leads the defence and team so well.
Kilgour 8 Never mind JCH can we keep hold of this young excellent player
Rodman 6 With a couple of lapses he is settling into his role quite well,
Ogogo 7.5 Would have been MoM but faded slightly in S/H
Upson 7 Another good game, does a lot of good work that’s probably unnoticed
Sercombe 5.5 Done well, but not quite so good as the Rotherham game.
Leahy 6.5 Getting better slowly with each game
Nichols 6 Better than what most posters have previously marked. Unlucky with a couple of chances
Smith 7 Non stop running and effort could do with a bigger partner
Subs: Bennett 5.5 Usual bag of tricks without doing much
Hargreaves 6 Good start, bit of pace
Adeboyejo Nole
Crowd 5 Usual flat atmosphere, woke up a bit in the last 15 minutes
Ref 6 Some strange decisions but overall not to bad.
MK 5 Had slightly more possession but did not offer much

My own opinions from the game:
van Stappershoef 6.5 Relatively untested but caught confidently
Davies 9 Had Bowery in his pocket all game. Nice finish for a deserved goal.
Craig 8 Organised the defence well
Kilgour 8 Loves a big tackle, bur calm on the ball also
Rodman 7 In and out of the game at times
Ogogo 7.5 Just kept going and going. Good first time ball to send Smith away in the first half
Upson 7 Good controlled game
Sercombe 7 Came alive at the start of the second half leading to the goal
Leahy 6.5 Not in the game much, but didn't do much wrong either
Nichols 4 Another disappointing game and should have hit the target with at least one of his chances
Smith 6.5 Put a big shift in and a shame that the better chances didn't fall to him
Subs: Bennett 6 Did okay
Hargreaves 6.5 Good energy and looked sharp with a couple of good interceptions
Adeboyejo 6.5 Nice touches in the corner to hold the ball up at the end
