Sunderlnd having a new manager lift - 5-0 up v Tranmere.
I hope our game v them is called off in November (due to International call ups for them) - esp if JCH still isn't fit by then

There can't be any talk about complacency from GC, which will really wind me up, we were just really fcking ahit tonight.
Sorry but Ollie Clarke and Tom Nichols are not good enough.
Can't wait for JCH and Sercombe to be fit.

If I never saw Clarke / Bennett / Nichols or Kelly in the Quarters again I would be delighted.
I can take us losing ... what I can’t take is players simply being picked as the manager likes them in training.
Coughlan is one dimensional and whilst he might stabilise the club for a year or so won’t take us much further than mid table at best which is probably where we should aim for.

Shoehorning Ollie C back into this team and sacrificing Upsons forward thinking play (see the last 6 games), is the single worst decision since I don’t know when. OC has been a good player for us but its currectly causing us problems in our side. The balance to our side goes with him back in the 3.He is the worst one of the 4 that plays in CM. Results prove this,sadly. |

In just 2 games we have gone from being a decent team to worse than Bolton before tonight. Sercombe has always been a sick note and JCH may be the next contender - I sincerely hope not as without him we have no goals in sight.

Results prove this,sadly. I’ve always liked Clarke for his battling performances, but he didn’t complete one single pass tonight and that just isn’t good enough. Needs to be dropped to make a point to the rest of the squad. And yet again, Nichols chipping the gk and missing an open goal is yet again inexcusable. Back to the drawing board! |
