Less harm than has been inflicted since 2010? Well, if you think he`ll do more harm to this country than JC, you know what to do. If BJ gets a decent majority he'll be here for 4 years at least. If not, JC will be in a shakey coalition for 18 months tops.

Hypothetically, I would expect JC stepping down, STV version of PR and votes for 16 and 17 year olds (Lib Dems demands) and IndyRef2 legislation delegated to the Scottish Parliament (SNP).

That could be quite a result then for those against a Johnson Tory government? Surely the price for a Labour coalition government would be no Corbyn and less radical policies? Sturgeon seemed to be making noises about trying to keep Labour in check as part of a collation. Recent polling suggests this election won’t even be close though so it’s about as hypothetical as you can get.

I actually dont think Johnson has the intellect to do much at all. However its who and what he represents as the "useful" buffoon that bothers me. Bothers you more than his only credible opponent? You keep on about the damage done to this country since 2010. I ask myself, if JC had been in charge for those years ( or even for five of them ) would this country be in better shape, or worse? I know what I think, and I`ll vote accordingly. You will vote on a hypothetical, historical, assertion? Interesting There is only one fact on the table, the running down of public services since 2010.

If for a change polls are correct and Boris wins will Corbyn be standing down? If he does, which direction will labour take? Will it be a more moderate type taking over or have the likes of Len McClusky got the party in such a stranglehold that another far left extremist will take control?

I have a feeling, based on nothing, that Boris will do very badly in the real opinion poll - the General Election.
He's a chancer and a comedian and he entertains people. But no-one takes him seriously. No-one who followed his career ever did, but the 'I'd rather be dead in a ditch' comment, and the identikit Theresa May deal he said he would never support but has, are not going to get Brexit votes.
I don't think many take Jezza seriously either, although his new referendum offer will entice a few.
I think it'll be a minority Tory government. Short-lived, with another GE inside a year.

I hope you’re right but (imo) he has performed poorly in the debates and interviews I’ve seen (not that anyone else has fared much better) yet just when you think he’s had a really bad showing his approval rating increases. So it seems to me there would have to be a serious change of intent for him not to win at least a slim majority.

Liar General Election 2019: Boris Johnson's interview with Andrew Marr fact-checked flip.it/3SF7j4The weird thing about Boris is that he actually answers some difficult questions in political interviews, unlike other leaders here. It doesn't matter if the answers are misleading or complete lies. He doesn't care. He's seen how Trump can get away with anything, and Boris has been doing this for his whole career. A very dangerous man if ever faced with a serious political/military situation. How anyone, regardless of their views, could support him is beyond me.

They just think the alternative is worse. Who gets your vote then?

"The father of victim Jack Merritt shared a post calling the PM’s response “beyond disgusting” and pleaded: “Don’t use my son’s death.”
Indeed.
