I guarantee you that Laura K didn’t tweet it Even by their standards it’s been a shocking campaign from the Tories. A new low in politics and most likely down to the influence of Cummings. I worry that it’s set a precedent now and all subsequent elections will be fought on the same principle of digital dis-information being more powerful than the truth. Yep. Because people believe it and therefore it works. You only have to scratch the surface but most dont. Spot on. After all, on this very forum you all fell for the Channel 4 'mistake' of a few days ago......hook, line and sinker.

Difference is nobby I actually accepted that I had got it wrong when I realised I had got it wrong. You guys just ignore the truth and stick to the line. That's the fundamental difference.

I watched the Midday Politics Show and the guy who heads that group mentioned in that piece. He was quite good and the figures for the Tories, which he confirmed on that show, were quite damning.

I’ll stick to the line of Corbyn being pals with the IRA and, that as a clearly provocative stunt, he invited them into to parliament while people were still mourning and fighting for their lives. Like you did with the Channel 4 I’ll happily accept I’m wrong once that story has been proven incorrect.

And in the very article where you are claiming that Labour are at zero% is the false claim that the NHS will spend 500m quid a week with US drug companies! We all know that is a lie.

I prefer to call them the gullible ones, and I count you amongst them.

The guy was live on TV and questioned by Ian Dale, two journalists and the presenter Jo Coburn. Everybody agreed this has been a dirty campaign, full of communications which contained falsehoods and in some cases lies. A healthy debate was had as to whether one could actually legislate for that. The issue of NHS funding was not directly discussed in that segment. To repeat, the Tories were far far worse than Labour with this stuff. It's a real threat to democracy, originating in America now a disease over here.

Honestly, Oldie and stuart have called you out on this many a time before but I reckon if we reposted all the debunked falsehoods and speculative opinion sold as fact by you on this thread it would fill a new thread of at least 20 pages. As for calling people terrible(!) names you seem to have forgotten calling people tossers and telling them to f**k off. Selective memory? Above all else though nobby, I personally find your commentary on life in the UK and on leaving the EU underwhelming on account of the fact you dont actually live in the UK and instead live in an EU country. If the pound crashes, your money is going to be worth a little more over here no? Honestly, I'm not sure that even if I tried I could muster up even an ounce of enthusiasm about what a confirmed Tory supporters thinks of me.

So you are happy that people don't pay their taxes. Strange. HMRC would need to collect only 6% of that total to equal what is lost through benefit fraud. I think most reasonable people can see where the real problem lies. Now I must go to work - happy to re-engage later! Where did I say I was happy about it? It is a bit silly to attempt to attach wording like that to someone else when there is no evidence to the contrary. Now, I've given a very short assessment of each of those labels, and how it would be virtually impossible to re-claim that money, so in reality it is a false figure isn't it? Not much of a 'scandal' eh? Your outrage at 34 billion not being collected is just wrong isn't it? You seem very keen to show that tax evasion is not a problem compared with benefit fraud which implies you are happy with the tax not being collected. Even with the breakdown you listed the 5.3 billion is almost 3 time the amount lost via benefit fraud. So yes it is a scandal. and no my 'outrage' as you call it is not wrong. It seems that your world view is very different to mine and I doubt you would change your opinion on anything even when the evidence hits you in the face. No wonder this country is going down the pan - 5 more years of the Tories screwing us all is just too much to contemplate.

To repeat, the Tories were far far worse than Labour with this stuff. It's a real threat to democracy, originating in America now a disease over here. There seems to be actual tangible evidence of it re: that hospital stuff. Someone has got caught with their hand in the til. How much effort will be put into the required information security processes needed to identify who was the hub that all those bots were spawned from? Mind you, I guess there is no actual offence in law for intentionally disseminating false information during an election campaign? If not this really needs to be addressed for all future votes. To think I’ve been concerned about Russians when our own political parties have learnt a thing or two about how to poison political media. In fact dare I say it, the bot Twitter tactics the Tories are using are quintessentially Russian...

Honestly, I'm not sure that even if I tried I could muster up even an ounce of enthusiasm about what a confirmed Tory supporters thinks of me. I do agree that it’s ironic that someone can support Brexit so vocally when they don’t even live here and won’t have to experience the consequences (although I’m sure I saw nobby say he had a house somewhere). That being said nobby is a smart guy for not being part of this in the first place. When Brexit happens I’ll be applying for a German and/or Polish passport and it would be smart for everyone else who has access to dual nationality to do the same. Better to be on the outside looking in. They have already announced the end of freedom of movement for British citizens. It’s like on a horror film when the people in the spooky mansion find all the doors are locked and they can’t escape the chainsaw wielding maniac. They are locking as many of us in as possible so no-one can escape when the sh** hits the fan.

To me it's pretty clear that Boris has had a terrible campaign, and in different times would have been totally discredited for his refusal to be interviewed on several occasions, his fibs, his mistakes and his loose understanding of the numbers and policies in his own manifesto. I sometimes wonder if he's ever bothered to read it.
If I were a Leaver, I would be thinking:
a) He's let us down by reducing his promise of leaving without compromise to a watered down mish mash of some sort of BRINO.
b) Rees-Mogg must have been paid off with the promise of a hefty cabinet job to agree to disappear and keep quiet whilst the farce continues.
c) Thank f*ck the opposition are so poor this time round that they cannot expose him for the shallow entitled chancer that he is.
Come on, Leavers. You know it's true. He's a disaster, but he's the best disaster you have. He's going to win, so that's OK.
But I still think he won't win a majority.
