Just once Nobby, once, refute the assertion made in my post with factual evidence to the contrary. Just once. again.......... Where has the British government said the Freedom of Movement for British people has ended? What do British people have to do differently now as opposed to a year ago? Peter Parker said that "Freedom of Movement has ended" for British people. I have asked when did this happen? Feck all to do with the future. He stated that it has ended right now.......ended....not ending. |

The beauty of satire and its inherent comedy is that it has a basis in truth. For old gits like me who remember the take downs in the early David Frost Shows, the racist ramblings of Alf Garnett and his ultra right wing views on that show, all making fun of people and the politics of their time. Now we have the bland crap of Malcolm Macintyre or inane ramblings of the right serving as the opioid of the masses. Carry on Jonathan Pie, telling it like it is in satire. |

Why oh dear Oldie? British troops were killed and many wounded following his false claims and photos on the front page of the Daily Mirror when he was the Editor.........read that again, troops died. Maybe you should direct your 'oh dear' comment at the families of those involved and see what their reaction would be. He should have never been allowed onto television. Far be it for me to defend assertions made in the press, other than their right to make them in a free society. It's the use of or the advocacy of, violence as retribution that I aim my comment of "Oh dear" Jeez, you don't know what I'm talking about do you? It was not 'assertions made in the press'. They were fake photos, actually taken at a TA Centre in Preston, that claimed to show abuse of Iraqi prisoners in Iraq. They were so fake that any soldier looking at them would have said that after about three seconds of looking at them. Morgan splashed them on the front page of the Daily Mirror. The next morning in Bahgdad, all hell broke loose as the fake pictures, headline and fake story were beamed around the world. Let me remind you of that front page...  |

No country is going to keep it’s borders open to a non-reciprocal migration arrangement with the UK apart from maybe Spain which has the highest level of UK tourism and ex-patriation but even then Spain has said it’s contingent on whether the Uk offers reciprocity. That was the subtext behind that smirking twat Patel’s words when she announced how freedom of movement will end for EU nationals literally the day after Brexit comes into law. By association it has ended for us too, to whoops and hollers from the berks in the audience who had ended their kids and grand-kids ability to move freely through the EU. |

What is to stop British people moving throughout the EU after Brexit? Are you aware that for the last couple of years a border has been resurrected between Germany and Austria, who are both in the EU. There are permanent queues on the Autobahn when traveling from Austria into Germany. You say you have one son working/living in the US and another one working/living in Singapore (?). Both places are outside the EU, yet it doesn't seem to stop people going to work/live there. So why should the EU be any different? Here in work my company employs people from 124 different countries. In my own team we have people from Tunisia, India, Nepal, Yeman, Singapore, UK, USA and obviously Germany. People from outside the EU have no problems working/living here as shown by the nationalities of those in my own team. |
