This competition has really caught the fans imagination! Its a bit like the FA Cup in that respect, where fans sit at home "imagining" what it would be like to be there.

TBC🤔

Crazy that the attendance at the Mem of only 1083 was still the highest of the 4 ties that night , but by winning it was worth 10k in prize money to the club.

Maybe the sponsors could graduate the prize money in line with the attendance....bigger crowd, bigger prize money. Incentivise the fans to turn up and help the club a bit more....🤔 Think this competition needs something to get the fans back on board....but guess on the flip side of that it’s tantamount to them saying the competition format is sh**e and it ain’t working....🥴

Put it back to league 1 and league 2 clubs and you will get the fans back .
Make a premier league 2 so anyone in the premier league could have a 2nd side.
Job done.

Or Newport County Stevenage Northampton Town Not sure - need to check this - but think it is only the first four mentioned because we topped the group and therefore can only play the runners up from the other groups??? TBC🤔 Yeah there were 8 runners up in southern section and those are them. With the exception of Chelsea u21 as we can't draw them because they were in our group.

If you didn't already know, the draw is this afternoon, on Gillette Soccer Saturday, 2pm, (that's what time the show starts).

Draw is divided into northern and southern section, each having 2 groups, each group has 4 winners and 4 runners up. So 1 winner I.e. BFRC can only meet 1 of 4 runners up, hence my group of 4 shown in earlier post.

Some cup cash could come In very handy come January.
Off load a few and bring in 2 new strikers and a winger, and it’s play offs here we come. Why not? It’s a poor league this season and someone not fancied will make the top 6. Why not us?

We ourselves were in southern group F, if there were only 4 winners and 4 runners up in each section then each section would have only gone up to group D. There were 8 winners and runners up in southern section. Just go on Sky Sports and look how many groups there were southern and Northern both went up to group H, meaning 8 winners and 8 runners up in both north and south meaning we could have had any of the 7 teams I mentioned as they were ALL RUNNERS UP. Thank you and good night. You're welcome.

We made £200,000 from prize money in this competition last year. If wael and co continue to stick so tightly to SCMP rules, every little helps in regards to Coughlan’s future budget. It might be a useless competition but if it raises some cash for a few new signings in January or next summer, that might not be so useless.
