Was Danny Mayor any good for them? Was a player I hoped we could have tried to sign in the summer. Quality on the ball, finishing not so good, similar to Payne for Bradford last season. Cheers. Payne was another one I hoped we’d have been looking to sign.

No way was that a penalty! Surely the red card will be overturned on appeal. What happened to the double jeopardy rule?

Should be a good crowd at Home Park and a cracking atmosphere. I'm sure they won't be closing sections of their ground.
Plymouth looked pretty good to me for a L2 side. It'll be a tough replay.
Not sure if Menayese deserves a medal for his sacrifice or a fine from the club.

Found myself standing on the east terrace next to someone with a clipboard, who was busy making notes throughout the game. Curiosity got the better of me so I asked him at half time what he was doing. Turns out he was scouting Plymouth for their next opponents.
A neutral’s opinion is always interesting. He was dissappointed we didn’t play better so that Argyle were under more pressure. JCH and Menayese were our best players. Clarke was having to do too much of the work in midfield and Ogogo always plays the easy pass because he doesn’t look up and scan the pitch when he has the ball. We also play the long ball too often, rather than playing out from defence. Probably not too much different from the general consensus on here.

You can see why GC was tempted to go with the same as last week, although one up top at home will always raise an eyebrow or two. Clearly JCH cannot Lead the line alone, half as well as Victor. With Tyler Smith alongside him second half, we were a different beast and Clarke Harris was much more effective.
We were wasteful at 1-1 to win the game late, before the most disgraceful referee decision I have ever seen. Moore going down with no one around him & the straight red was double punishment (I’m not sure this official was up on the latest rules)
Looking forward to another trip to Home Park & looking at other second round replays, could well be another match live on TV.

Out of his depth?! Are you for real. Thought he had a cracking game! Yes I am for real .. Due to circumstances he has been thrown in at the deep end not eased in slowly as a youngster should be. Injury time ... caught out and penalty that should have cost us the game... needs more support and protection. His determination and work rate is fine for me ... needs the finesse and experience now. Sorry but not buying that. Just because he was thrown in the deep end doesn't mean he is "out of his depth." Especially considering CB is probably our strongest position. I don't believe you are basing your opinion on what you are seeing, if you are then a trip to Specsavers may suffice.

Ipswich v Coventry is just a routine League 1 game which Ispwich will probably win and Boston v Rochdale will be lucky if it gets more than a handful of armchair fans tuning in.

No way was that a penalty! Surely the red card will be overturned on appeal. What happened to the double jeopardy rule? It seems that only applies if the defender makes an attempt to play the ball and then commits a foul in the penalty area: "Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offending player is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.) the offending player must be sent off. " Not sure what GC was on about in his post match interview as there's no way the refs now going to go back on his decision.

Was Danny Mayor any good for them? Was a player I hoped we could have tried to sign in the summer. A quick player who is good with the ball at his feet. However he seems to be continuing the Plymouth number 10 tradition of throwing himself down in the area looking for penalties. That arsehole Carey did it on a regular basis and conned a couple of pens against us, especially down there. This twat was doing the same. What I don't understand is, if he throws himself down and doesn't get the pen, then the ref has seen no offence and should therefore yellow card the forward for simulation. If he ref had booked for his first piece of cheating then he probably wouldn't have tried the 2nd dive. If he did and had been booked for the first, then a second yellow and f**k off. Because the ref bottled it, he was almost bound to give a pen for the 3rd dive, which he probably wouldn't have attempted either if he was already on a yellow. This constant cheating must be something advocated and encouraged by Scottish managers. A shame really because you know they'll try the same in the replay having got away with it today.

Interesting to hear a professional opinion state that "Menayese was one of our players". Some on here seemed to think he was "out of his depth".

I said he was worrying me before he got the pen. This is my argument with this, is that the percentage call is strongly in favour of diving and trying to deceive the referee. The potential reward has a much greater probability of being given than the potential punishment.

Ollie's first in this competition so he's OK - I think it's a one game ban in the cup after two booking in the competition - hence Kilgour will miss the next game. This seems a bit unfair in that teams that have payed a lot of games to get to the 3rd round could have key players suspended when they come up a higher league team playing their first game. I always thought cards picked up in any of the main domestic competitions counted towards suspensions which in turn applied to all competitions. I’m sure there have been numerous occasions where players have missed FA Cup finals after picking up cards in the prior league match? New rules this season - yellows in cup competitions are specific to that competition, as are the 5, 10 etc yellows in league games. Two yellows in the specific cup games means a suspension in that competition. Great that it stops the situation of a suspension in a league game for a cup booking but, as I said earlier, it mean that when the big boys join in at R3 - lower league and non league clubs could be missing a number of players through suspension already! My mistake earlier suggesting that Rollin might have been booked for the first penalty push - I initially thought it was Ogogo from the feed that pushed, but I'm sure the BBC text said it was Rollin so I went with that, silly me.

Very bad decision by FA to give a referee who has only had five league games experience in charge of today's game. Plymouth made a terrible back pass which was not pulled up and some bizarre decisions. Ref spoiled the game giving two penalties which were definitely not and sent off a kid for what!

Menayese out of his depth? ? Played more than a dozen games in League 2 and is now playing in a team which going by league standings should mean he's surrounded by better players. Got caught out once - with no help from others - & gave away a debatable penalty. Very unfair to single him out
