Anyone seen the Nichols interview? Superb interview, really came across well after putting in probably his best performance for the club. Yea, very honest, maybe I'll give him a bit more credit than I have.

Whenever you play a big side away in this league you’re inevitably playing against 11 men, a passionate crowd and the referee, so this is a big test of character. We’re no shrinking violets though so I think we have a puncher’s chance. So true after the event. Ref so home based he must be moving from Nottingham to Ipswich? Passionate crowd; they were quietened after our 2 killer goals. We never stopped.

Can anybody explain the OC sending off, surely it only warranted a serious talking to by the ref even if he wasn't waved back on, as he hardly stopped a move leading to an Ipswich goal or is it a mandatory yellow card offence?

I believe that leaving or re-entering the field of play without permission is a yellow card offence. The nonsense here is that apparently the 4th official waved him on. If that is true, but the Ref didn't know, then the officials as a unit are a disgrace and not fit for purpose. In fact thinking about it they were just the worse set imaginable - the linesman missed at least a couple of what were nearly crucial offsides in the second half - awful ref, linesman and 4th official - it seems it was 14 vs 10!

A result of 5-5 wouldn't have been out of place as there were so many chances. Ipswich were better on the ball individually and physically stronger but Rovers had the better attitude and organisation.
