All this speculation is exactly why he should have kept his mouth shut.

Stags fans seem pleased. Obviously every single one of us can understand the frustrations at the apparent lack of money the club are investing in the squad, but do we really want to rack up potentially crippling debt to chase a pipe dream we haven't got the infrastructure to sustain. We aren't in any way ready for championship football, and until we are financially stable and have a new stadium/better facilities. We are better off staying as a mid table club. Granted that could well be beyond my lifetime. I'd rather not end up being the next bury. What you say is all perfectly good/ common sense, but it's also crushing especially for a supporter in a 2 -club city.

Sounds like the family issues are coming first (they live in Sheffield). We should respect him for that and thank him for what he’s done for us over the past year, and then move on. In which case from a geographic point of view it’s a no brainer.

A lot of our fans should be over the moon now then as this is what they wanted

Plenty of players drop a division to sign for another club - as long as the money is good or contract longer

Fair points but as a fan who’s been to Mansfield to watch us many times there’s no way on any day ( stadium Or training facilities aside) I’d never ever say they had more potential than us . I’m obvs wrong though..... wouldn’t be the fist time ! 😃 Totally agree that we have far more potential than them, I just find it depressing that so many "smaller" clubs have far better facilities than us.

GC gone and jch going will hit us hard, surprised if we get a decent price for him as we always sell low, I can see the back room staff going too so a slump in performance on the cards. Why are we so doomed.

Confirmed joe Donne gone with him Don’t see anything on the website? They’re busy rushing out an article for the website about hiring some consultants to investigate whether a 20,000 seater will fit on Horfield Common.

BBC Radio Bristol reports that Mansfield have had an approach for Bristol Rovers manager Graham Coughlin turned down by the League One club.

GC has done better than many of us expected and proved the doubters wrong but... how much of a Dam unclassy move by him this is. I understand the need to put family first etc but this just seems... wrong. Calls on the fans and "all of us" to get behind the team then wateres off when we're on the brink of something special and pushing for promotion. Nobody knows what the board has/hasn't said but this move at this time shows some true colours of a man I was starting to think could be a great manager of our great club.

GC has done better than many of us expected and proved the doubters wrong but... how much of a f**king unclassy move by him this is. Me, of all people, with my rep for being negative, was thinking today that at last the club is starting to exceed my expectations....and then GC pulls a stunt like this! I’m literally fuming at the timing.
