They say winning when not at your best is the sign of a good team. We are only going to get stronger with the likes of Ogogo, Little, JCH, THD, Hare and Clarke to come back into the fold. and Davies of course! Just shows how impressive we are with so many senior players out.

Tony Craig an inspiration to Kilgour and Meyanese. Great captain, how people doubt him is beyond me. Jaakkola is some keeper. And after a poor first half, vastly improved performances from the rest of the boys. Onwards and upwards. Roll on Saturday. A tough game but you never know! Got to keep Tony Craig fit excellent professional

Joe Dunne sounds like he's off then No surprise really I didn't take it as that? Couldn't read him tbh. My first thought was he would def follow GC. However, if he definitely was then why put him as caretaker? MS wasn't caretaker when DC left. And whoever is caretaker, well it is theirs to lose IMO, as it was with GC. It could be GC/JD agreed he'd just stay to see us though tonight's game? Although I haven't heard Mansfield's coaching staff have also all left so GC might be stuck with them anyway, it was only the BP who said JD was also off.

When he was asked whats next for him and Rovers, he went defensive and waffled about Rovers playing with 10 men on Saturday...then 'Going forward Bristol Rovers is the most important thing, none of us are bigger than the club, whatever decisions made going forward will be the right ones for the club, people will get it right, and Bristol Rovers will continue'
feels to me like he's been put in to soften the blow of GC's departure by being there tonight
Sounded to me like he doesn’t expect to be here for much longer but wishes the players all the best.

Don't honestly think he said anything either way, I guess he wasn't a clue if he's in with a chance of getting the job or not, if he's still in charge on Saturday and we win he'll be hard to overlook. Have to say he made a slight change at halftime and it definately got us more into the game. Who knows, he has managed before and surely battling at the top of league one as caretaker and in the third round of the cup is preferable to an assistant managers job battling in the lower half of league two.

While half of me feels I want a manager as soon as, I'd rather wait until after Christmas and get a manager that could get us promoted this season or next than a manager that will see us tail off and struggle for the next season or so. Why the wait, that's 4 games and the transfer window just about to open, Dunne (if he's interested) Holloway, Jones etc are all out of work and if we want Flynn we know all about him anyway. Negotiations take time, particularly at this time of the year. A real sh**ty time for GC to have left us. GC only confirmed off this morning, to get a new manager in in 3 days is a big ask. Especially when we haven't had the gift of being able to prepare for his departure. Then we're slap bang in the middle of the Christmas period. Two weeks previous and it wouldn't have been so hard.

why would we loan out Menayesse he’s in the first team now, he’s proved himself. He might want to move nearer to GC's house. If Coughlin comes in for any of our players at any time, and especially in January, then Rovers should tell him to F uck off. Hes made his bed, he's obviously engineered this and used his family life as a justification. F uck him.

Well, Dunne did not sound very enthusiastic about the win or prospects for the future. Sounds like he misses GC with the many references to him. Perhaps they got on well living together. Perhaps Mansell should be given a shot at the job on a trial basis.

Another superb defensive display, we've rode our luck again but you make your own luck. They have shown tonight what a fantastic group of players they are maybe not the most talented we've ever had but I don't think anyone can question their commitment. We certainly have some talented young players with hopefully a few more waiting to break through. On to Saturday & a top of the table clash - must admit that feels good to type !!!

You're quite right. Coughlin has sh1t all over us and quite clearly couldn't give a flying about us. Which is fine, but please spare us all the bullshit Irish blarney about how massive this club is and dancing around in front of us, thumping your chest and fist -pumping at Ipswich before effectively telling us to F uck off 20 minutes later. Just be honest, you've spent , what, 8 years living away from your family, and through your own choice, because no-one forced you to take coaching jobs at Southend, Rovers and then the Rovers manager job. Mansfield, those giants of the East Midlands, with a massive fan base of, oh, at best 6,000 offered you more money than Rovers could, and you opted for your 30 pieces of silver. There's nothing wrong with that but please, don't treat us as twats and play the old 'I'm missing my family, boo hoo, poor me' because it just won't wash.

It was a superb defensive display in respect of last ditch, bodies on line type of way but not a great defensive display in terms of keeping a team at bay, keeping them away from our goal and stopping chances being created. Still, it’s been a difficult couple of days and the target today was getting through to the next round - mission accomplished. Get something out of Saturday and hopefully a new manager in place by Boxing Day. UTG.
