Owning a bank worth £400 million isn't the same as being worth that amount, maybe they should sell up and do the decent thing. To who? I meant sell his bank, and blow all of the money on the Gas! I expect he is very well off, but not as rich as a lot of people seem to think.

I meant sell his bank, and blow all of the money on the Gas! I expect he is very well off, but not as rich as a lot of people seem to think. Can see it now, in ten years time after Wael has sold his share in the bank and blown it all on us, and we're still in the third tier, and losing £5M per year, and we still don't have a stadium, and Wael doesn't have a penny left, he makes his way in the snow, at Christmas, towards the suspension bridge. He's ready to jump, and he reflects on his life and the mistakes that have taken him to this moment of despair. Does some magical angel-like being called Clarence suddenly appear and take Wael on a journey through his past showing him all the good he has done in his life and all the Gasheads who have benefited from his tenure, and all the goodwill we still have towards him, giving him hope for the future and the will to live? Does he f**k? Because we genuinely wouldn't give a toss about him as soon as he doesn't have any more money to spunk on us, and we'd be too busy moaning about the next owners. It's a wonderful life being a Gashead.

Because you can't rely on clean sheets to win games. Goals do that. They were there for the taking in the first half and sh1t composure in front of goal and an inability to finish, actually even take a shot let us down. We could have closed the game out in the first half if our number 10 had a f**king clue. He doesn't. It's also rubbish that only Anssi and Sercs had a good game. The whole midfield played well and there was plenty of attacking drive, just no end product. But y'know plenty of that naturally talented trotting around at barely over walking pace. But I don’t remember any service to JCH or Nichols. It’s true Upson and Abs were also ok tbf but their service was poor - the only person I remember trying to put the ball into the box was Sercombe. We let in 2 pathetic goals from defending meaning we lost 2-1. That’s on the defence for those mistakes, Rodman especially. But I’m sure it’s easier to blame Nichols for those goals Not blaming him for the goals. Like I said, the game should have been out of sight by half time. He wasted at least two good opportunities - one defender to beat and instead of shooting takes 11 touches to try to walk it into the net at the start of the second half. Natural talent right there. JCH forced a save and we won a penalty so service can't have been that bad.

If in doubt, blame Nichols. It's getting rather boring now. Could argue he did as well as the rest of our strikers to be honest. I will thanks, and I'm not bothered if it bores you. To be honest. Nichols did well yesterday but at least should have gotten his first attempt on target. But he got literally no service from anyone. He was making clever runs all game just no one noticed them or had the tempo to play it in first time. If you want to single a player out then it’s Rodman who quite frankly was a disgrace yesterday. 1. Didn’t beat his opposing man all game and when he went to have a try he decided to go backwards to Rollin every time. 2. Didn’t get in any decent positions to get any worthy crosses in. 3. Lazy arse defending for the dons first goal, he didn’t even bother to ensure it was run out of play. 4. Stood like a statue 8 yards from goal with an opposition player in possession and didn’t advance out to make it difficult or to make a tackle, not once but twice. He was the major problem yesterday, not Nichols.

Agree with some of this, but those sides who win promotion from this league also have pace and creativity about them, something that Coughlan didn't introduce (maybe due to budgetary constraints, maybe due to his own philosophy, we don't know). These sides are organised defensively and break up play, but they also score goals because they are better footballing sides. I get the argument about there being less football played the further down the pyramid you go, but this isn't a League 1 where a Cambridge / Wimbledon side of the 90s/80s would do well in it. That's what we were becoming under Coughlan. I'm not knocking him as he did a good job in keeping us up and thanks to a good run of late, giving us a good base going forward. For me, he was a bit like Atkins but in a higher division. Did a good job keeping us up and built a good base to work from going forward (and probably won't get the credit he deserves for that). But he would never have taken this squad up IMO. Most felt that we were probably at least 6 or so places higher than our ability suggested and frankly, if this team finishes mid table then that's a good season far in excess of what I thought we'd achieve (and credit should go to Coughlan for that). But we have to look longer term and, over time (and that's the crucial bit) develop the style. If GC had been still in charge we'd have probably won yesterday and gone second, how can you say GC wouldn't have taken us up if we we're 2nd in the table this morning? Easy to say we'd have won but who knows? Anyway, was it sustainable over a season? I doubt it.

Any goal scoring opportunities that Nichols is at fault for in the first half? So JCH has a shot on target and Ogogo won a lucky penalty that most games wouldn’t have been given. Over 90 minutes, you think that’s good enough service? Against a team in relegation? The balls into the box were woeful, JCH was going mad at the poor delivery.

Although I don't disagree with this, if we don't go up this year (and we won't), in a few years it will become absolute club history fact that we would have gone up had GC stayed.

We also had a goal disallowed for a foul. I really think you're on the wrong track with this poor service thing. In the first half I can think of him 1 v 2 chesting down a high ball then taking 4 touches so the defence had enough time to sort themselves out and muscle him off the ball. But you're right, there weren't many goal scoring opportunities he was at fault for because he was ambling about at jogging pace.

Don't worry about yesterday, there is plenty more of where that came from, 2.5 years worth. We have gone from being managed by a fixed bayonet over the top merchant to a conscientious objector. Won't take any of us long to get fed up with those post match interviews.

I blame GGMI for this result. Mods please ban him from starting any future match day threads, in fact just ban him full stop. 😁

If so the players and fans will be frozen and confused and losing Cocko had all the coaching badges, as do 99% of managers at this level if they have any ambition to manage at the highest level. The Pro Licence is a mandatory qualification for managing in the Premier League and UEFA competitions.

I’m more trying to say that he wasn’t the reason we lost IMO, that was the defence. Playing against a team who’s away record was P11 W1 D1 L9 - I expect more chances, more direct football and probably a clean sheet tbh Anyway, let’s see what Sunday brings. I get the feeling this will be a nice kick up the backside for all. I’d like to imagine BG will drop poor performers but the main issue we have is injuries that doesn’t allow him to really drop any/many

In fairness to the players they have had 4 different managers in as many games which is certain to have affected them. Now they have a total unknown waltzing into the dressing room managing the team. I think its a shame garner hasn't brought an assistant with him who he knows and trusts because the job could get very lonely if we fall away badly.

Can't work out if some of the comments this morning are sarcastic or not.
Bloody hell, we are NOT going to win every game. Are we suddenly entitled to walk the "poor" league one?

To be fair to him I think people keep forgetting that he’s actually a winger and not a full back, although he’s done well in recent games. Needs must and all that, with our list of long term injuries. Don’t get me started on THD a great player when fit, but when does that ever happen?
