Two cheap pointless yellows. Pretty sure a striker would add more than Sercs is adding to the game at present. Agreed. Trying to work out our shape right now is difficult - I guess a flat 5-4-1 with Sercs and Cam on the wings? Either way, Nichols/Tyler alongside JCH would've been my choice. 3-4-2-1 Terry Venables Xmas tree formation according to R Bristol.

To the extent that he's throwing his arms about in a huff etc.

Pretty evenly matched so far. No huge chances although the first one for Fleetwood should've been put away.
The biggest concern defensively should be how much time their right back has been afforded to swing in crosses. That's been their main threat.
Upson has been the best performer so far, has moved the ball around nicely. Hargreaves has had his most comfortable game so far too.

Hard working performance but it’s not very good at all.
Fleetwood probably should be ahead by a goal or 2 IMO.
We really offer nothing upfront though

Half time, quite an even game so far I would say. Fleetwood have created the better chances, had more of the ball and we've not created much but crucially we are still in this and have played some decent stuff ourselves.
A goal either way will open the game up I expect.

Pretty dire really , hardly created anything, JCH looks so unfit he’s gone from winning 90% of his headers to about 10% these last couple of games and neither of our wing backs look the slightest bit interested in blocking crosses and Fleetwood have sussed thst out quickly and making the most of it. Hargreaves is playing ok but looks a bit easy to knock off the ball. 0-0 decent score line considering how we’re plsying.

Quite a decent first half performance. Both teams playing with some tempo and Rovers much sharper than Boxing Day.
Kilgour and Upson having very good games with Cam Hargreaves a definite improvement on Tom Nichols. JCH needing more service but overall an encouraging 45 minutes.
Will both teams finish with eleven men though?

We really offer nothing upfront though We need to move the ball quicker and get a direct approach in to JCH and he needs to have at least two players around him when he receives the ball. Hes isolated and clearly unfit but can still do a job if we play to his strengths as he’s shown many times before.

They haven't dominated or had many shots on target. Perhaps I've got my blue tinted spectacles on when I say it's even, they've definitely edged it but I think there is something for us in the second half if we can give the attack a bit more service.

Nichols on for Ogogo. Shame but Ogogo did pick up a yellow and his style of play is always possible to get himself sent off.

To me Fleetwood look like a side with a game plan and players that know what it is. Rovers look like they’re not sure what the game plan is and look a bit lost particularly out wide when Town have got the ball. Hopefully Garner will have seen what’s going on and make changes for the better at half time because if nothing changes I can’t see us getting anything here.

More like a Tyler Smith sort of role trying to compensate for lack of strength with energy.

I just mean because he got into decent positions a few times and seemingly just got body-checked off it all too easily. Nice player though, reminds me of Sam Matthews a lot too.
